I went with a friend on a Sunday afternoon and it was so dead I thought it was closed. That being said, the food and drinks were excellent. This is not a taco shop and you won't be paying taco shop prices. This is lovely, fresh, elevated Baja California-style cuisine. The shop is very cute. Unassuming location with great food. I've gone three times and I was impressed each time. North Parkers, give hipster comfort food a break and check out this unique restaurant.

Ever since I moved to San Diego I've been in search of my go to taco spot. The search for the elusive perfect taco had eluded me until I found La Catrina. They're rib-eye tacos and the salsa that comes along with it were worth the journey.
