I had the good fortune to marry a Registered Nurse. Over the course of our magical years together since 2017, she had introduced me to all sorts of insider names for things. In the case of Panera Bread, this is known as "cafeteria food" as it strongly resembles the bland yet unoffensive food one may find in the hospital cafeteria.It's even more apt that the only time we consume it is when we are sick. Paneras in San Diego are generally the same as far as food, ambiance, and service goes. I came around 8am on a Thursday morning and the booths were filled. There were about 15 to 20 customers already inside at the time but still enough seats to sit. The staff are okay. They aren't about building relationships or connecting with customers, more so, they just get the job done. Ordered for the 1 St time using the Panera app for home delivery. Half our order was missing. It was $56 for 1 half sandwich, 1 cup of soup, a half chicken salad, 2 cookies, and 1 caffeinated lemonade. Their food is so delicious but it's not cheap.
