I have ordered a birthday cake here almost every year for my husband. The cakes are light and delicious. It is run by an older Korean gentleman, and I am sad to learn that I just placed my last order with him. He is retiring and closing shop May 27th, 2026. I hope people have an opportunity to enjoy his classical, delicious cakes before he closes shop. Will miss this special cake shop.
Devastated to learn this place will be closing after 30+ years in business. Owner (who I believe does everything for the business and makes all the cakes himself) apparently will be retiring. We've been coming here often for the past 10 years. Terrific, high quality, light, and of course delicious variety of cakes. Strawberry shortcake being my favorite. Will truly miss this place. But in the meantime will try to go as often as possible before it closes!
Sage French Cake & Coffee is a highly recommended destination for custom cakes and delicious treats. Their selection includes Japanese/French style cakes like the Mistral and Caramel Mousse, which are well balanced and not overly sweet. The regular coffee is pretty good, and the espresso is excellent. While some find the cake part of the Caramel Mousse dry, others praise the quality compared to run-of-the-mill bakeries. The staff is friendly, communicative, and dedicated to their craft. The shop is small with tables to sit and relax, and they take birthday cake orders. Whether for a special occasion or just a sweet treat, Sage French Cake & Coffee is a great choice.
