About Shan Xi Magic Kitchen

Shan Xi Magic Kitchen is a popular Chinese restaurant in San Diego known for its large menu of flavorful dishes, some of which are very spicy. Customers highly recommend the eggplant with garlic sauce, biang biang noodles, and hand-pulled noodles, which are made from scratch and offer a different taste and texture compared to dried noodles. The hot soy milk with jujube is also a favorite. The restaurant features a modern, open-concept layout with a contactless QR code ordering system that is quick and convenient, though traditional table service is also available. Recent reviews praise the delicious hand-torn noodles with beef, the bouncy biang biang noodles, and the savory Hot & Sour Soup Dumplings with Shrimp, Pork, and Leek. The portions are generous, making it easy to share larger dishes. Prices are a bit high, but the large servings balance out the cost. The staff is friendly, and customer service has improved recently. While the casual ambiance and parking during peak hours can be challenging, the flavorful dishes and efficient service keep many customers returning. Overall, Shan Xi Magic Kitchen is a must-visit for delicious Chinese cuisine in San Diego.

Flavorful. Cumin lamb sandwich was yummy and the eggplant was really delicious. Pork sandwich was kind of blah.

Food were nice. Service was bad, or there was no service at all.

The shrimp fried rice and green beans had good quality and quantity.

The ox throat appetizer was mid. Tasted lots of cumin but seemed to need some salt.

The cumin beef noodles was tasty, but I felt like it could've used more beef.

I would come back tho if craving authentic, quick and no frills Chinese food and flavors.
