Sul & Beans offers a delightful selection of shaved ice desserts, including the traditional Korean Bingsoo. The shaved ice is approximately $15 each and the portion is large, making it suitable for sharing between 2 or 3 people. Customers particularly enjoy the matcha, black sesame, mango, and strawberry flavors, as well as the Chocolate Bingsoo with fluffy ice and chocolate brownies. The Cinnamon Toast is also delicious and flavorful. While the coffees, like the hot vanilla latte, are described as average or not hot enough, the shaved ice is highly recommended.
The cafe is spacious with different seating areas, though parking can be challenging in the busy Convoy Street strip mall. Staff members are helpful, friendly, and informative. Fresh fruit is used, so some flavors may be unavailable out of season. Extra sweetened condensed milk is offered for those who prefer more sweetness. Sharing a wall with SomiSomi, the place can get crowded, but the desserts are worth the wait. Bingsoo may not suit everyone’s taste, but it’s a fantastic option for those wanting to try delicious Korean desserts.
