I would 100% recommend these sushi. No but seriously, is there any negative I can point to about the sushi rolls I've had numerous times at this place?? NO! I even drive from Carlsbad to get them. which would maybe be a negative??

Little Italy location: The food is delicious, creative Japanese fare, with many vegan options. The service needs some work however. The Sushi entrees are made by a different chef and are sometimes served at vastly different times than the ramen entrees. In our case, two of us were finished with their meals by the time the other two were served. The food presentation is beautiful.

The Yasai: Plant-Based Japanese Experience offers outstanding food, with standout dishes like the triple tomato ramen, vegan bao buns, and a full vegan sushi menu that exceeds expectations. The portions are generous, and the prices reflect the large servings. The restaurant is known for its well-presented, creative dishes including bento boxes, stuffed jalapeños, and mushroom bao, which many customers find delicious and beautiful. Visitors often find that even those who dislike vegan food may be surprised by how good it tastes here. The service is generally good, with some staff checking in regularly and showing hospitality, though at times service can feel rushed or customers may experience neglect, lost orders, or uneven timing for food arrival. Parking can be challenging, with some guests needing to park half a mile away and walk. The restaurant’s location next to Rakiraki allows diners to sit and order from both places, offering a variety of options in one visit. Reservations are recommended due to high demand, making it worth returning to try other menu items. Overall, The Yasai provides a positive experience for vegetarians and vegans looking for a satisfying Japanese meal.
