Taka is easily one of the best sushi spots I’ve ever been to (believe me — I went to multiple sushi restaurants in Japan, Thailand and USA) I had the best amaebi of my life here — incredibly sweet, fresh, and delicate. You can truly taste the quality, especially knowing they fly in ingredients from Japan.

The Hokkaido uni was rich, buttery, and perfectly clean. Overall, the quality is superb. And, don’t forget to try Saba Buttery! A must-visit for anyone...
We came here at the end of Super Bowl Sunday so around 6:30 pm. There was only one other diner but when the game was winding down more diners came in. We ordered the Salmon Sashimi (8 pieces), Toro Taku Roll (5 pieces of Chopped Toro, Shiso Leaves, Pickled Radish), Salmon Roll (8 pieces), Hosimaki (6 pieces of Tuna, Wasabi, Hosomaki Style), and a Rainbow Roll (California Roll Inside, Tuna, Salmon, White Fish, Avocado on top). The atmosphere, complemented by jazz and excellent service, made for a pleasant evening.
The highlight was the counter experience: seeing live sawagani (river crabs) flown in from Japan that morning. Being served the same crabs immediately after was a great performance that showcased their commitment to freshness. The nigiri was also notably generous in size.
