The Menu Restaurant, a beloved breakfast spot in Pacific Beach, has sadly closed its doors after being in business since the 1970s. Located near AVA, it was a popular destination for many, including couples and groups of friends.
The restaurant offered a variety of classic diner options, such as eggs, omelettes, pancakes, and waffles. The grills were well-seasoned from years of cooking these dishes. The weekday specials included a discounted steak and eggs option, priced at $11.99, which came with two eggs, two sides, and a 6 oz top sirloin.
One of the standout items on the menu was the biscuit and gravy. According to a customer, it was soft, moist, and served with smooth and creamy white gravy. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were considered reasonable for the quality of the food.
The laid-back atmosphere of The Menu Restaurant made it a comfortable spot for a relaxed meal with friends. The Machaca with a biscuit and gravy, as well as the potatoes, were particularly enjoyed by customers.
The closure of The Menu Restaurant is a loss for the Crown Point neighborhood of Pacific Beach, and the staff are wished the best of luck in their future endeavors.
