Village Kitchen家湘味 Reviews
Best Chinese food I've had in a while. The food is spicy and what great flavor! We had cold noodles and the beef with corn. Portions are huge! Our total bill came to $24.00
Hardcore, real Chinese food. Pickled fish hot pot (not spicy) was excellent and refreshing. Great Mobu Dofu. Great eggplant. Big portions. Service is hardcore Chinese too. Need to flag down your server to order, get refills, your tab, whatever - just like a restaurant in China.
The food was really really nice and tasty here and the service was perfect. The food was very authentic and i really love it🥰I’ll definitely come again if visiting san diego.

Village Kitchen家湘味 offers a great dining experience, even on busy evenings. The restaurant serves tasty and fresh-cooked Chinese food, with dishes like eggplant with peppers and preserved eggs, cauliflower with crispy pork, and pumpkin pancakes. Prices are normal, but the food is better than average, with a high turnover rate ensuring reliable quality. The sausage, eggplant, and beef dishes are particularly delicious, making it a great option for those craving Chinese cuisine. The restaurant also provides plenty of parking and features friendly staff with quick service. Guests can use a QR code to view and order online. Portions are large, and the buns are soft and fluffy, pairing well with the braised pork belly. While some dishes like the sour and spicy shredded potato were just so-so, the beef noodles are noted to be delicious. The chicken intestines and Hunan stir-fried pork are spicy and pair well with white rice, though they can be quite salty. Recent feedback indicates improvements in water quality, making the dining experience even better. Many people have recommended this Chinese restaurant and consider it among the best in San Diego, suggesting a need to try more dishes for a fair assessment.
