“First time here. We saw a review on facebook and decided to try it out. Very small place but cute. We walked in and was left standing not knowing if we sit ourself and there were several tables that needed to be cleaned off. An elderly lady looked at us and did not acknowledge us so I said, shall we seat ourselfs? The lady was the owner Angela, which seemed like she was taking orders, serving and making food. We sat down with no menus and my husband had to get up and go to the counter and Angela just said can I help you? Wow. We never even got our water until 1/2 hour later. We sat at a table next to the womens bathroom and the area smelled a little of sewer which was not enjoyable. Finally she took our order. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza and shared a antipasta salad which was very good and the pizza was good. My hubby ordered to go an sausage & pepper sandwich. The sandwich not so good. It was very salty and the sausage tasted old. Service was extremely slow. We are not sure if we will give it another try or not based on our experience.“

“Their service was excellent. it was quick service, with hot pizza and cold crisp salad. The ranch tasted homemade. The pizza was not greasy like most pizzas. The crust was lite and fluffy. It had a crisp cheesy flavor. The dough was perfect. The look of the pizza is appealing. Overall a 5 star rating.“

“Palermo Bakery has everything you need to feel like you are in Italy! From the welcoming staff the moment you walk through the door, to the decor, to the EXTENSIVE bakery items (that are beyond delicious!), to the pizza, to the coffee, there is truly not a bad choice on the menu! They even have a window to the kitchen so you (or your kids) can watch the magic happen in the kitchen. The first time I went there I was reminded of my Dad and my time in Palermo. “Roberto at Gusto has been amazing with the catering service at our 5 year old's birthday party. We had 45 people - 25 adults and 20 kids, all of who were extremely happy with the food. We had the types of pasta, 2 sauces, garlic bread, veggie skewers and condiments. Highly recommend Gusto for catering. Top notch service, excellent food and catering supplies at great price.“

“I've been a Vince's customer all my 70 years. Not your typical Italian restaurant, just a spaghetti house, although the menu has been expanded recently to include lasagna. Always good, family friendly, just don't get hungry for spaghetti on Wednesday. To my knowledge they've never been open on Wednesday.“

“Went here on a Monday for dinner with a friend and omg!! I was blown away by this little hole in the wall. The food was super delicious, and the portions were very generous for the price. “Location formerly was El Appetiz. Jary’s has brought it back. Good portions great tasting food. Pizza, Calzones, lasagna, chicken shrimp jambalaya, salads are all excellent. Better to call it in & pick it up. It’s a Hidden secret.“

“Very homey Italian restaurant, with tasteful decor on the walls, ambient music, and dim (but not dark) lighting. Ordered calamari, which was not bad per say, but lacked any crunch- the sauces the accompanied it had little flavor, to the already, fairly bland, calamari.
Although I did not order the salad, I was told that the dressing was pretty good. The salmon bisque was also just okay- nothing really stood out about it.
The sourdough garlic bread is absolutely delicious (though a pain to cut into neatly!). Lasagne and gnocchi dishes were both equally flavorful. Not pictured was the tiramisu with the delicious mascarpone, which is enough to share amongst two.
Although not something that can be entirely controlled for, it can get a bit loud inside from the other patrons.“

“This is our second restaurant in La Vern we visited. A very cozy and friendly atmosphere. The area is semi residential and commercial. A perfect suburban setting. Inside the restaurant doesn't have many seating. Mostly are outside. We thought it'd be cold, but surprisingly it was not. Those heaters worked very well. We ordered some appetizers and a plate of salmon with angel pasta.
Food was delicious. Service was superb.
Parking was a little challenging. We found some parking around the 2nd block on the street.
No complain though. It is suburban!“

“Excellent time! Ordered the Calabrian Steak and Shrimp Bucatini w/ extra, extra cheese and the Chocolate Lasagna for dessert. The Calabrian crème sauce was spicy, but not overpowering. The dessert was scrumptious! Sarah, our waitress, checked in to make sure everything was perfect. Especially the request for extra, extra cheese lol. Thank you Sarah and Olive Garden for a beautiful and delicious evening!“

“Disappointed in salmon pesto linguine. No pine nuts. Not nearly as good as in past. My 100 year old friend asked for small dish of gnocchi and we were told it was impossible. Both food and service have gone downhill“

“Had one of the best experience at this Olive Garden my waiter Bill did a fantastic job was very attentive and very welcoming. The food will stay the same pretty much at every restaurant but it's the way I was treated will definitely come back shout out to Bill. “The best pizza I habe ever had glad I grew up in La Puente. I have overnightes pizza to friends and family in other states from here. Pizza in NY cant touch scardinos and comparing any other pizza to scardinos pizza is extreamly unfair to the other pizza as its in a class of its own. When I was a kid I remember one of the older italian owners at a grocery store complaining to tge manager that the freshness and quality of one of the I'm ingredients was not fresh or quality enough. I dont recall exactly. But I knew when I grew up to own a business I would be that crazy about quality. This is a family own and ran business and I cant express what this place and the food means to our community. We are so very lucky to have them! You have never lived until you have had scardinos pizza or tried one of everything on the menu and I mean this from the bottom of my soul. -SGV“
