“Family and friends, we all love this place. It's one of our usual spots for brunch Sundays after church. They serve staple Mexican dishes as well as some American. Chilaquiles and huevos con chorizo are some of our faves! Great place, must try!“

“Has a lot of potential. The sandwich ingredients are great, overall concept is better than other places. The taste is mostly there but overpowered by the unnecessarily massive amounts of sauce that squirts out and drips everywhere when you have a bite. Maybe they were going for juicy but it was too much. I used about five napkins cleaning up.

Opinions differ on how much sauce is good but I'd say the vast majority of people would agree. The owner should test his own food and come up with a slightly different ratio of sauce.

I will still go back and try something else but I'll make sure to request slightly less sauce.“

“My lunch today at Urbane Cafe was honestly the highlight of my week. The dining room has a friendly buzz to it, busy but not chaotic. Friendly staff for sure. Andrew, who was running food, seemed to have a sixth sense for who needed what; They dropped off my salad in record time even though I forgot my table number. The Crunchy Peanut Salad itself was a masterclass in balance: crisp greens, tangy dressing, a hint of heat, and a crunch from the toppings that made every bite interesting. Then came the cookie (which deserves its own paragraph tbh) it was warm, fragrant, and had that satisfying “pull apart” texture. Andrew even joked that I’d probably need a second one, and honestly, they weren’t wrong. If every restaurant had this kind of atmosphere and service, I’d never cook at home again.“

“Absolutely love this place! My boyfriend and I live in the area and we love being able to walk to places in our neighborhood. This is definitely a new favorite spot! I rarely write reviews but I had to share my great experience to support this business. The food is fresh and delicious and the staff is very kind.
We ordered the Rainbow and the Spicy Yellowtail rolls for pick up orders through their online website, had a lovely sunset walk during Golden Hour to and from there, and the service was timely and efficient. When we got back home the food was packaged and presented beautifully and it kept well. We thoroughly enjoyed this whole experience and will be happy to order again soon! We look forward to dining in person there as well. Definitely find out for yourself and enjoy this awesome little gem!

We asked for some recommendations and the ladies explained what each dish was and offered samples. “What a Great Find! First time there and Junior took time to explain the whole menu to us. He also prepared the Delicious meal! We tried the chicken kabob, Shawarama, rice, Mediterranean salad, and hummus with pita bread. Fantastic meal!!! We also watched him prepare a Wrap which was Huge. We definitely be back!!! This great little place is located in the CVS shopping center on Hollywood Way and Verdugo.“

“I went with a large group and I think everyone but me like their entrées way better than I did. I really think maybe I just made a wrong taste choice. I went for a mushroom ravioli with a cream sauce. I have to say the service was excellent. It’s a cute little restaurant. You probably wanna make a reservation if you’re going there, the bread is incredible. It’s so so yummy. I did enjoy the appetizers. I was not impressed though by the Caesar salad I was with five other people and they all loved their trace. I think I just made a poor choice. I would recommend it and even for a romantic night or dinner.“

“I stopped in to try the coffee and check out the shop. The coffee itself was good and they had some decent food options. The atmosphere is nice, nothing too over the top. Lot of folks on their laptops, but not overly crowded. The employees were super friendly and courteous.

She took the time to explain the differences between the various menu items, making sure I understood all my options.

Customer service like this is truly a breath of fresh air. Honestly, I haven’t even gotten my food yet (though I’m sure it will be exceptional!), but I had to give Christina her flowers right away. In this day and age, we’re often quick to criticize but too quiet when we receive great service — and Christina absolutely deserves to be recognized for the care and attention she gives to customers. “I have searched this town for the perfect wood fire style margherita pizza. I ordered the Napoletana and it is AMAZING. We also got a pepperoni and it's delicious too! Vincenzos is too much crust and too greasy in the middle. Toppers is way too expensive and our order was never accurate. The Road is close by, the food is delicious and they have great prices. “Swung by this little ol establishment with 3 others on a blistering Sunday afternoon and what a surprise Thai Victory was! I now understand why TV has received the voluminous amount of 5 stars. Coming from Thai Town, TV can really be ranked amongst the gr10s.

Inside - 4/5
Very cozy and intimate with only a handful of tables. Bunch of Thai decor around the restaurant. And of course a random TV and hanging Xbox hah.

Service - 5/5
This sm0l establishment is run by the nicest (I assume) couple. They checked on us often and offered recommendations for the different dishes (e.g., spice, rice vs noodles). They also gave us a couple Thai tea's on the house! Very refreshing during this heat wave.

Food - 5/5
Now I'll be honest with the non-lunch special value of at least ~$14-17 a plate, I was worried that we would not have enough food and/or they quality would not be great. Alas, I was gratefully mistaken. This day we got Chicken Pad Thai, fried Eggplant, Roasted Duck Basil and Garlic Basil Tofu. Each dish was made with fresh ingredients, wasn't overly cooked or oily and was filling. Much like I said above, TV could stand on it's own Thai Town. But, why compete with so many other restaurants when you can capitalize in NOHO? My personal favorite dish was the roasted duck. The duck was crispy and was on a bed of Chinese broccoli. All dishes were distinct, but complimentary. Also we had some Thai coffees and man did it wake us up (and also sent us to the bathroom hah).

The staff is questionable I have had times where people are not friendly and other times people are super friendly but doesn't see genuine. I'm a big stickler for good service and I don't mind them but it could be better service. I always get uncomfortable with the amount of times people wash their hands and change their gloves while working because I have been in this industry and seen the worst but I usually just try and watch the person making my food and pray they try staying clean“
