Great place to stop for a delicious sandwich and coffee if you’re visiting the painted ladies!My fiancé and I were visiting for an event and stayed nearby within walking distance. I got a salmon avocado sandwich on a whole wheat roll with a small cappuccino and my fiancé got a smoked turkey sandwich on French bread with a small iced black tea. Everything was great! We stopped in to the Alamo Square Cafe before heading over to see the Painted Ladies on Friday. Every seat was filled, and for good reason!We had a short wait to order, but service was super friendly, and with only 2 people working, I thought it went quickly.I ordered the Pastrami on a Dutch crunch roll with provolone. Long overdue review, last year it was my first time here, it was at 8 or 9 am in the morning. Super duper friendly folks first off. Very nice area outside of the cafe, as of course the painted ladies and the Alamo Square is right behind it. Superbly satisfying ripping the sandwich in half in my opinion.
