Finally, an Italian restaurant in North Beach that serves excellent food and is not a tourist trap. We had the seared halibut and the spinach and ricotta gnudi. Both were super tasty. My son and I also ordered a butter leaf salad with strawberries and toasted almonds. The salad was nice as well. We were glad we ordered the Gorgonzola dressing on the side since it was relatively strong. We happened upon Da Flora when we were heading to Cobbs Comedy club and looking for a place for a pre-show meal. The service was phenomenal and they very kindly made room for us without a reservation on a Saturday evening. We split the Caesar salad and focaccia bread and ordered the ricotta spinach dumplings in a lamb sugo and the house made sweet potato gnocchi.
