I get the hype - food is delicious. We had a galbi bibimbap and the braised beef rib / oxtail kalbijjim. So flavorful and meat very tender. We were 4 people and probably would have been full with just the large kalbijjim, as we had trouble finishing everything. Servers were really friendly and kept the banchan plentiful. Also, the kimchi was one of the better kimchi’s I’ve had. Great meal, I will be back!Parking: Large public parking lot across the street

I ate it after waiting for about 40 minutes. Both seolleongtang and braised ribs were very delicious.

The portion is getting smaller and price is getting higher. However, still 5 star for the taste and presentation! Not sure how can it be anything lower than 5 stars. The cheese on the top is well presented and looks fancy but recommend no cheese since it makes the whole thing too oily to our liking.Beer is good and vibe is fantastic~Be there early since there’s 1-2 hour waiting time during rush hours.Btw, if you are vegetarian or vegan, don’t even bother coming here - not worth your time.

We added ourselves to the waiting list, expecting a wait time of between 45 minutes and 1 hour. After 45 minutes, we received a call notifying us that our table was ready. Returning to the host, we naturally anticipated being seated. However, we were informed that we needed to place our order first — an unprecedented practice... The host pointed us to the menu in the entrance hall, which was crowded with people, making the task of choosing even more challenging.Attempting to seek clarification on the menu, we asked the host some questions, but he either completely neglected us or responded in the rudest manner. Despite having already waited for 45 minutes, we decided to stay, even though the delayed seating and the host's rudeness were significant red flags. After conveying our selections to the host, assuming we would finally be seated, we were astonished to learn that another 30-minute wait for a table was necessary. This was baffling, especially considering we had already waited 45 minutes and received a call notifying us that the table was ready. Absolutely mind-blowing!This was the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Extremely frustrated by the delayed seating and the host's extremely rude behavior, we decided to leave, and I strongly recommend you to do the same. By the way, we've heard from others that the establishment adds a hidden 18% service fee (which it hopes people won't notice), yet still requests and pushes(!) for an additional tip at the end. This is outrageous! Avoid this place; it's simply not worth it.

The fact that i’ve lived here for more than 5 years and had never been to daeho is a crime. Food was out of this world, service was fast and efficient, and it was such a blast. Highly recommend if you’ve got visitors in town or are looking for an outrageously good time at a very reasonable price. worth getting an extra side of rice cakes and the japchae

As a Korean-American visitor from Seattle, I had to try Daeho since it’s a very hyped up kalbijjim restaurant. Seattle just opened up their first Daeho location couple weeks ago so I wanted to try and compare it the OG spot (have yet to try Seattle). The kalbi in SF set the bar very hig. I would come again and recommend this place to everyone who wants to try Korean food.FoodI ordered the Daeho kalbitang with extra meat and all I can say is that the kalbi (beef) was sooo good. The meat was super tender and just melted in my mouth. The soup being infused with the beef just made everything even better. I would actually recommend not getting the Daeho kalbitang and just get the regular kalbitang since the seafood was not very good. Just come for the beef. There was so much meat and I could not believe how much beef they gave for the extra meat. Very worth the $4 for almost double the meat.I can’t wait to try Daeho again in Seattle and go with friends so I can order the Daeho kalbijjim since the portions are big enough for a couple people.AtmosphereThe inside of the restaurant is bustling and very busy. The noise level was loud with all the people in there and the sort of narrow space. Casual atmosphere and wear. It’s a great place to come for good food with friends casually. You can see people get their food torched tableside and that’s always fun.PricingPricing is a little bit more expensive than what I’m used to paying for kalbi but it is money well spent. The quality of the beef was one of the best I’ve ever had.ServiceService was faster than I expected for how busy the restaurant was on a Thursday night. You order food at the front counter where you check in. The food is brought to your table. This helps to streamline process and let your food come out faster. Not much interaction with the staff though.OtherHIGHLY recommend making a reservation online in advance (Yelp). I went on a Thursday night at 7pm and they were saying walk in wait times were 2 hours wow. Be prepared to wait since there are so many people regardless of reservation status. Only street parking around the area.

10/10 would recommend this to all!- amazing service- efficient service (took our order before seating us) and communicative- insane food!!!Our party was 8 people- 4 guys and 4 gals- a very hungry partyWe ordered:1) Kalbi Tang (beef rib soup)2) Kalbijjim (Braised beef rib)- large- mild- all toppings, including the cheese!3) Kko Gal Jjim (braised beef rib with oxtail)- regular- spicy- all toppings except cheeseAll food came with sides, including rice and kimchi. So delicious and maybe ordered slightly too much. Two regular sizes would have been better. We ate plenty and well. Would definitely come again!

Everything was good. But I wish side dishes have different variety like egg or potato or sprouts. All side dishes are spicy and as someone who is not so tolerant on spicy food and have acid reflux, i had limited option. Ate just radish and onion.

If you’re celiac, there’s only one option for you in the menu, the seolleontang soup, just add some salt and chives and it’s quite good. It’s such a shame their rice and kimchi aren’t gluten free. I wouldn’t choose to eat here just because of the lack of options but if your gluten eating friends make plans to come here, it’s nice to know there’s at least one option for us.Dietary restrictions: There’s just one gluten free option in the menu but it was safe, I felt perfectly fine afterwards.
