My favorite ramen in SF! Normally we get the black garlic tonkotsu ramen but I recently had the spicy tantanmen as well and it was also delicious! All ramen dishes come with an egg which is an extra plus. Often no wait too. Skip the line at Hinodeya and come give it a try!
The black garlic tonkotsu ramen is absolutely incredible. They cook the pork bone broth for longer than half a day, and the broth is so creamy that I thought it was made with dairy! The pork is also so flavorful. I'd rate this among the top ramen I've had in SF.
I'll note that we also got the shishito peppers, and those weren't worth it at all, but we also got dessert (matcha mont blanc) which definitely hit the spot after dinner!

I never have patience to wait in line for Hinodeya so I love going around the corner to Waraku. Since it's not in the main square, I rarely have to be put on a wait list to be seated and their tonkotsu broth is just as great. Love the tsukemen as well as takoyaki, and service was prompt and friendly.
