House of Pancakes Reviews
Extremely good. This style of food is best consumed directly when made so I prefer to eat in. The roll pancakes are fire! If you dont have cash there are three ATMs on the same block (it is cash only).
Our family’s go-to spot for delicious Chinese food in the Sunset. Favorites are beef roll pancake, onion and egg pancake, green beans, eggplant, and hand pulled noodle soups. Employees are always super friendly too.

House of Pancakes is a cozy spot serving tasty Chinese food at affordable prices. This small restaurant, located on Taraval & 19th Avenue, is recognized for its hearty Northern Chinese dishes and is especially loved for menu standouts like garlic green beans, beef roll pancake, and hand-pulled noodles. Customers have praised the flavorful lamb stir-fried hand-pulled noodles, which are tender and enjoyable, making them popular among visitors. The restaurant offers a unique experience with old school Chinese service, providing a welcoming atmosphere for families and friends. Though the service and ambiance are average, the staff is known to be friendly and accommodating, often making thoughtful dish recommendations based on group size and preferences.
House of Pancakes is tree nut-friendly and offers fast service, making it a hidden gem in the Sunset district. However, it is important to note that the restaurant is cash only. Parking can be found on Taraval, and the recent end of construction has improved the situation. The seating arrangement is cozy, with tables for groups of twos and fours, which can feel close together in this small space. The beef roll pancake is a popular choice, appreciated for its tender and tasty filling, while the pork dumplings are noted for being juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The garlic string beans are a must-try, and the refreshing cucumber salad balances the meal nicely. Overall, House of Pancakes is a place to enjoy authentic flavors and hearty dishes, offering a delightful dining experience with a local charm.
