During our visit to SF we were looking for food close to homemade. This was the place! Char-broiled chicken was very good, fresh made fried potatoes were absolutely delicious, not a regular “french fries”.

In a city full of over-priced and marginal slop restaurants, Il Pollaio stands out for consistency, quality and reliable eating. Not the fanciest, but that's fine as well, but welcoming and always on point. Lamb chops are my personal favorite, although everything is solid. Minestrone soup excellent when available.
I'll Polliao is the most authentic and best Argentinian restaurant in SF. Perfect grilled chicken, real fries, delicious grilled chorizos, and the yummiest berenjenas (eggplants) al escabeche. The most lovely service and attention! A must if you are in North Beach/Little Italy. 🧡
