Bistro La Chaumière Reviews
Amazing crepes!! Feels authentic to the crepes you get in France.
They now serve Mexican food along with the French food, but I hope they don’t ever take away the crepes

Bistro La Chaumière is a charming place with classic French bistro chairs and padded seating, offering a true taste of Paris in San Francisco. The savory crêpes, made from buckwheat flour from France, are absolutely amazing. For breakfast, the Sarrasine and Parisienne galettes both have perfectly lacy, crunchy edges. The Sarrasine is incredibly hearty with sausage, a runny egg, and asiago cheese for a savory punch. The Parisienne has smoked ham and sharp, creamy melted asiago, highlighting the nutty, toasted flavor of the buckwheat. The food is light yet substantial, making it a perfect post-workout meal. However, some dishes may be a bit overcooked; the Caesar salad can be drenched in dressing, and the French onion soup cheese may be granular. The crème fraiche on the crepe can be heavy. Wait staff can be stand-offish with little congeniality. Despite this, the restaurant is great for introverts who want to read, as the waitstaff does not bother guests. Call in advance for a reservation.
