best english muffin i’ve ever had! Service was so friendly as well, best way to start the day
Super fresh. The best English Muffin in the City! Egg sandwiches are fluffy and delicious but the lox sandwich is also a favorite. Friendly and kind workers with hot and fresh Andytown coffee. Don’t get me started on how tasty the blueberry banana loaf is. 🤤 I highly recommend this Castro gem!
What a surprise to see Leadbetter's open in the Castro! I've had the english muffins back when they were producing and distributing to local cafes. I had the fresh Rosemary Pull Apart - the outside was perfectly crusty with a light and tender flake inside and the rosemary was there but not overpowering. Also got a bag of Rosemary English Muffins to take home [don't miss out on enjoying something good when you can't get into the shop - as I live in LA now!]. I love splitting...read full review

Leadbetter's Bake Shop is a solid pastry shop and casual breakfast or brunch spot in the Castro. These muffins are used for their sandwiches. The Smoked Salmon sandwich on an everything English muffin is called incredible and the best, highly recommended. Their baked goods are great, with the cinnamon rolls singled out as pretty damn good and probably the best. The blueberry banana bread is also perfect—dense, not too sweet, and moist. Other items like an apple turnover are also enjoyed. The staff is noted as super kind, gregarious, busy, and sweet. It is considered an awesome addition to the neighborhood.
