About Little Shamrock
Little Shamrock Reviews
I think either the oldest or 2nd oldest bar in SF (maybe in California?). Great bar. A true classic.
Great people, good booze, and darts. What more do you need?
Friendliest bar in S.F. Well, LOTS of bars here are friendly, this one happens to be extremely friendly! And historic. Don’t miss the clock that stopped during the 1906 earthquake. If you love bars with really interesting old photos covering the walls and excellent Irish coffee, you’ll be at home here. Maybe you’ll even see Ava the good dog.

Little Shamrock is a lively and welcoming Irish pub located in the Inner Sunset District of San Francisco, across from Golden Gate Park. Known as the oldest bar in town, it offers a cozy atmosphere with mismatched furniture, a backgammon table, and a dart room in the back. The bar features a nice variety of drinks and good prices, attracting a mix of regulars and new faces. Visitors often comment on the friendly and chatty bartenders, who make everyone feel welcome. The bar is still cash only and does not serve food, but it remains a classic spot to relax after a day at the Botanical Gardens or exploring Golden Gate Park. The overall experience is fun, relaxed, and highly recommended for those seeking a warm, neighborhood atmosphere.
