We tried the seafood ramen which was not as rich and flavorful as I've seen in other restaurants. We also tried the house okonomiyaki pancake which was decent. We also tried the fried octopus which was ok. They didn't have any sushi or sashimi available unfortunately. The service is spotty as folks have mentioned. The kids in the area seem to like the spot. They take cc which is helpful.
It is a casual japanese food place in japantown with my favorite and not very expensive shabu shabu. The shabu shabus here have a light tasting soup(tastes like daikon and fish) and lots of ingredients in it including beef, fish balls, enoki mushrooms , many other vegetables and udon.

Mifune Don is located in Japantown. The restaurant has been there for over 20 years, though it recently (September 2019) changed owners. We tried it because we love Okonomiyaki and have found no where else in the Bay Area that lists it on their menu. We ordered one vegetable and one seafood. They were very good. My husband had a very good beer he had never heard of (which is unusual): Koshihikari Echigo. It appears the new owners are a young couple---he cooks, she serves. Hopefully...read full review
