I had not been back to this longtime Castro spot since the pandemic, but I've always appreciated its convivial atmosphere and big fish tank. Perhaps it's because I don't possess the most literary mind, but I thought the provocative name referred to a whale penis which you may know measures an average of nine feet in length. This is got to be one of my favorite bars in the Castro. Great bartenders, a pool table and just a great place to hangout with friends. This is a drama free place, unlike some the other local places. And having Big Daddy on draft, made my day

I was working in the Castro yesterday October 5th and we decided to stop here and put up flyers. The Bartender let us put up flyers and then gave us two bottles of water. It was extremely hot yesterday, so I thought this was a very nice gesture.
