Red Rooster Taqueria was a food stand and booth located in the SoMa, FIDI, and Rincon Hill area near the Crossings and pickle ball courts. It offered a variety of tacos, burritos, and other items like a carnitas torta and veggie quesadilla. The carnitas torta was noted as a standout, perfectly grilled with a crispy cheese crust and packed with flavor, loaded with sour cream and guacamole. Tacos, including al pastor, were described as solid and generously portioned, with each taco being basically two tacos. The veggie quesadilla contained zucchini. The menu was consistently praised, with a special mention for a good and spicy habanero option. The service was consistently fast and friendly, and the prices were surprisingly cheap and decent for the portions. The atmosphere was great with lots of seating and benches, contributing to a fun neighborhood vibe in a cute area that sometimes offered free movie screenings. It was considered a go-to spot for a quick lunch or snack. The stand appears to have been closed as of December 2025.
