I've eaten at Sens dozens of times, mostly for lunch and usually it's amazing. On August 22, I ate there with a group of friends and the service was pretty terrible. It took a long time for our drink order to be taken, then it took 15-20 mins for the drinks to be delivered. Many minutes later, our appetizer order was taken, those were delivered in a fairly timely fashion. 30 or so mins after we finished our appetizers, our entree order was taken. The service was excellent from our server, Kayla, and the runners/bussers. Overall, it was a good experience. The beef and lamb skewers were cooked perfectly, and both came with tasty sauces. The beef skewers were tender and our favorite dish. The summer squash pizza was also excellent, as the vegetables were really fresh. The service was bad and barely checked on us that I had to go look for the waitress myself and the value for happy hour was a bit pricey due to only like $1 or $2 off normal menu. The restaurant ambience though is great and the views as well!

Sens, located on the third floor above the Embarcadero, offers a lively atmosphere with refreshing decor, including a beautiful blue mosaic and stone walls. The menu features delicious finds, from the Mediterranean spread with warm bread and olive oil to moist chicken sandwiches and refreshing drinks like iced tea and Arnold Palmer. The view from the restaurant is spectacular, and the food is consistently tasty and satisfying, making it a very romantic place for date night or a friendly gathering.
