Tadaima Mission is a pop-up style cafe, a place to pick up a matcha or a snack. The best strawberry matcha in the Bay Area is found here; it is super well-balanced and the strawberry flavor does not disappear. The regular matcha latte is also strong, smooth, and high quality, not grainy at all. The strawberry cream top matcha is another popular choice. Hojicha tea is very tasty as well. Overall, the drinks are great.
The food, however, receives mixed reviews. The Japanese tonkatsu sando and the spam musubi did not impress. The spam musubi needed more sauce. The eel Musubi and a pineapple sando were just okay. The cafe has a few small tables outside and a few counter seats inside. It is often super crowded and loud, with a long line, so ordering ahead online is recommended. Parking is terrible near the big main street. It can be a chaotic experience, making it better for getting drinks to go.
