I gave 4 stars because the spicy chicken sandwich was really good! It was flavorful, crispy, and definitely something I’d order again. Unfortunately, the service was pretty bad and not very welcoming. The food saved the experience for me. Hopefully the service improves next time.
I stopped at The Bird in Hayes Valley for a quick lunch and ordered the Bird Salad with spicy fried chicken based on the recommendation of the gentleman behind the counter. It was a good choice—the salad was fresh, the chicken was tasty with a nice amount of spice, and the portion was satisfying.

The chicken burgers here are fantastic! I ordered a spicy chicken and a chicken tender which came with curly fries. The seasoning on the fries is outstanding and their house sauce paired with it tastes really good.
I personally did not like the taste of the chicken tenders. I wouldn’t get this. As all orders are done on their service screen, there were no options to add other ingredients or add extra of any ingredient, making it hard to customize your burger.
