Based on the reviews, Bánh Cuốn Bún Mộc Ông Tạ is a comforting spot known for its incredible food. The broth is amazing, and the bun moc is a southern style version made from pork paste, which is preferred over other styles. The banh cuon is a highlight, with steamed rice rolls that are very thin and velvety. The dac biet (special) is also recommended. The food is incredible on every level, though this means the lines are long, with waits of 20 minutes to almost an hour. The staff are very nice and efficient. Recently shut down by the health inspector, the restaurant is now clean and offers a 20% off deal. Fish sauce is now left on the table. The rice rolls #1 are delicious, but appetizers like spring rolls and pork skin rolls sell out by 1:30pm. The bun moc noodle soup offers a variety of meatballs with really thin noodles. The banh cuon beef is fine, though some prefer a softer noodle. The vegetarian banh cuon comes with egg patties, bean sprouts, and a fried plank. There is lots of free parking and outdoor seating that is dog friendly.
