Everytime I go to L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, I usually get the Chicken katsu. That's the only thing I get there even though there's a lot of options. The chicken katsu is crispy and really good, I also like the macaroni salad. I think the serving is great for what you paid for. The mini version is also good for one person, This is a great place if you want a comforting meal and like Hawaiian barbecue

Ate here recently with my wife. I ordered our usual bbq mix combo. The serving is very generous in portion, and predictably delicious with the Hawaiian bbq trip of chicken, beef bulgogi, and short rib, which is my all time favorite. Walden the owner was extra friendly and made us feel right at home. Also, we tried the firecracker shrimp musubi, which was recommended by my friend, and is unique to this specific location. It was soooo good! This is now my new favorite L&L in the Bay Area!

Since the new owner has taken over the restaurant, quality of food is tremendously better. Chicken katsu was delicious.. No longer dry or over cooked. Sauce provided was ample and perfect for the meal. We stopped ordering from there but will now be a regular place you eat! Thank you for the yummy food!

The portions are generous and incredibly filling (I got a MINI katsu! )- I ate it for lunch and dinner. The workers at L&L deserve special mention for their exceptional service. They are not only friendly but also helpful, especially when I found myself a bit confused about the various options. Their guidance made the ordering process smooth and enjoyable.While the main dishes are undoubtedly a star, I couldn't resist adding on some fries and mac for that extra indulgence. The combination of flavors is simply irresistible, and I highly recommend giving it a try if you haven't already.It's an ideal spot for those looking for a quick, satisfying meal with friends and family. Love the new owner and his family! They really turned this place around. Nothing tops the bbq mix for my wife and I with the additional macaroni side. They have a couple new must-try items. The Firecracker Shrimp Masubi is our favorite new item and this is the only L&L that has it. Who would've thought replacing spam with shrimp would be so delicious.

Today (08/08) is National Spam Musubi Day. We visited this location (1805 E. Capitol Expressway), as it was listed on the LnL App as a participating location. However, the cashier informed us that the manager said they would not be honoring the deal and said we had to buy something in order to get it. We asked if we could just get a drink and the cashier replied, "I don't think so. My manager said we are not doing it. You have to buy a meal." He then said there were other locations participating but we drove 30 min to get here and the app shows that they were also a participating location.

Came to this L&L location in the morning and was greeted by register worker. I asked him questions about the menu and he answered them accordingly. I ordered the chicken Katsu plate and it comes with rice, mac salad, katsu sauce, and the Katsu of course. The portion of Katsu is huge and could be used for two meals which I ended up doing. The price is quite good and you get a large amount of food for a decent price. The quality is not the greatest but it isn't bad either! Chicken was a bit dry but it wasn't overly dry.Food was quick and took 10-15 minutes. You can order over the phone for pick up as well. I saw a lot of people coming in and out of this place. Register worker was nice and asked me if I needed anything else. I think they changed this place a bit from the last time I came but if I'm every craving some food, I'd stop by here again.
