It is truly great food with reasonable prices. Their quality, freshness and service is wonderful. Especially their sweets are just amazing. Definitely going back and ordering from them.

I was feeling very nostalgic today, since the passing of my aunt. We used to go to another Indian restaurant all the time when we were younger. I won't name that place but in recent years, it's just not the same. Although I didn't get to try this place with her, I'm trying it in her honor. Surya Indian Cuisine offers truly great food with reasonable prices. The quality, freshness and service is wonderful, and the sweets are just amazing. The restaurant serves proper Punjabi cuisine and is considered some of the best Indian cuisine around San Jose. The Channa Masala and Dal Tadka were incredibly flavorful. The butter chicken had a good flavor but felt a bit heavy on the cardamom, while the chicken biryani was perfect. The jalebi was so crispy and not overly soaked in syrup. The Chole Bhature is a must have, and the Aloo Paratha was nicely stuffed. The Kadhai Paneer had very soft paneer, and the Sweet lassi was refreshing. The goat curry with naan and the dahi vadas are delicious. The Chole Baturae and Makki Roti + Sarason Saag were both fresh and tasty. The place is clean and well maintained, tucked in a strip mall. It is a must visit when in San Jose.
