Based on recent reviews, Joe’s Pho is a large, wheelchair-friendly restaurant with plenty of tables for big groups. The food has mixed reviews. The oxtail pho has plentiful meat and really good broth. The chicken vermicelli bowl is just okay with big portions but lacking flavor. However, one delivery order had issues: the broth for the chicken pho was spicy, which is not mentioned in the description, and the shrimp chips were not received. The banh mi had extra pate paid for, but it did not seem there was much pate. The food can be a bit salty but tastes okay. The service is okay, with one worker being very attentive. However, the area is a bit sketchy due to the homeless population, and finding parking close by is a problem, though parking is aplenty in the San Leandro Plaza area. The music can get obnoxiously loud. Despite this, Joe’s Pho is a family favorite with exceptional dishes and wonderful service.
