“I usually don’t to restaurants that are overly broad with the foods they serve, but I’m glad I did! This place is excellent. I shared the 2 x $25 meal (gyu-don and chicken karaage) and a salmon poke bowl. Karaage was super light and crispy and the gyu-don was exactly what I was imagining. The salmon poke bowl also great, with a mix of raw and seared salmon. The seared salmon was a great touch! Overall, everything was delicious and very good portions. I will definitely be returning to try some other menu items!“

“The food is good. Ordered Drunken noodles, I would have preferred them a little more spicy. Some places ask for the level of spiciness, this one didn't. Also there's no atmosphere, it's lonely. Very quiet. Looks like they have good drinks but didn't ordered any this time.“

“An excellent place for a first date. It’s quiet enough to talk, yet not so quiet that it feels awkward. The lighting is soft and romantic, and the drink selection is fantastic — especially if you’re into wines or classy cocktails. I appreciated the attention to detail: the garnishes were fresh, glassware elegant, and even the water was served with a cucumber slice. That’s how you know they care about presentation. We stayed for almost three hours, just talking and sipping. Will definitely come back.“

“Food was delicious, unusual offerings for Encinitas. Staff was friendly. Too noisy to have a conversation and too dark to tell if there was still food on the the share plates. Also, there was no beer on draft and a very limited wine selection. I would go back for a casual night out for two.“

“We LOVE ourselves some Chef Tangs! From the first visit, we identified a superb atmosphere to enjoy fresh, quality food with great pricing. If you like spicy, you cannot pass on their hot and spicy soup. We have turned on several friends to that dish alone! We have also dabbled with most of their chicken and beef dishes; all have been fantastic! The owner, Lee, is an outstanding guy. Always amazing service with a smile. His staff always goes out of the way to make your dining experience memorable and pleasurable. They’ve made us feel like family from the beginning. We endorse this restaurant with our highest regard and crave it on a weekly basis. Get over there and try it for yourself. You’ll become a regular in no time!“

“They say the 3rd time is a charm.
We tried to get in 2 different times but they were full.
On the 3rd try we understood why it's so crowded the food was fabulous. Hubby got drunken noodles loved them and I had Crispy Chickee and loved it also.

“Good pho, 3.5/5. Really enjoyed the broth flavor, pretty good fresh noodles, meat was a bit sub par extra chewy texture and fat around edges. Given the hefty price per bowl, and restaurant name, should improve quality of meat served.“

“Came here for the first time because emu favorite poki closed. I was greeted with a friendly hello and the options all looked fresh. I got the 4 protein and paid $22. But I have to say it was worth it. The salmon and tuna were frozen but it’s on because it had the freshest taste. I mean I couldn’t want it any better. If you are in the area stop by and have some fresh and yummy Poki. Will definitely be coming back“

“Friendly staff and outstanding food quality. Yellow curry (medium) is amazing, and plenty for at least two meals. Basil fried rice and Drunken Noodles were excellent also. Gor Gai is a regular favourite for us!!“

“We celebrated my mother-in-law’s 70th birthday at Chin’s, and it was absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious as always, and the service was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed their meals and had a fantastic time. A special thank you to the manager and our servers for going above and beyond to make the event so special!!!“

“We absolutely love Birdseye Kitchen! The imperial rolls are some of the best around — crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. The chicken pho is a must-try; the broth is rich and comforting, and the portions are generous. Every time we visit, the service is excellent — friendly, attentive, and fast. The restaurant has a warm and relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for both lunch and dinner. Definitely one of our favorite local spots, and we can’t wait to come back!“
