Flores is a high-end bar and restaurant offering quality, scratch-made, traditional Mexican dishes. One of my favorite items was the Ensalada Mixta, a fresh, crunchy "superfood" mixture of chopped gem lettuces, black beans, quinoa, corn, bell peppers, pumpkin seeds, and avocado, all in a light, acidic epazote dressing, and we added the Carnitas, or perfectly tender and crispy citrus-roasted pork shoulder. I was excited to finally get to try Flore's after wanting to dine here for a couple of months now. We got 8:30 p.m. reservations for 7 of us on a Friday night. A few of us arrived about 15 minutes early to the pleasant surprise of getting seated within minutes even though the place was pretty packed. Food was very classic Mexican comfort, and it was filling for good dinner. We came with a reservation so it was faster. If you like yummy margaritas and a lively ambience, Flores is for you. The service was very good, except my tacos took some time.
