Libation Taproom And Bottle Shop Bar • $$
924 B St, San Rafael

“I finally made! I was on my way to California Gold on a Friday night and something told me to walk up the street and try this place. I have heard good things about Libation from my fellow beer drinkers and pass by on the regular but Ive never taken time out to stop and check it out. Walking in the vibe was great. Fully stocked coolers with canned and bottled beer. Banging playlist! Great customer! House plants all around! People fellowshipping at the bar, joyfully Fully stocked bar (hard alcohol, wine, beer, champagne) They don't close until 12! The beer on tap is not very extensive but you can pick one from the cooler, which are cheaper, and drink it in house. I found a nice little table in the corner in front of the window with a spider plant hanging in front of it. If you know me I go ape s*** for a nice plant in an establishment. This place had many :) Long story short I felt SAFE when I walked in... and then I was greeted by my peoples (we are hard to find out here *wink) whom helped me to pick out the perfect beers. They also have cocktails. They have a cute little out door seating area and plenty of indoor seating for and intimate space. They have a separate back room with extra seating, suited with a nice recliner chair by the window and more tables. Large Tv for viewing in the main space. The tennis match had everyone feeling like we were watching the super bowl lol Glad they made it through the Covid and definitely coming back. I met some great people that night.“

“Incredible food and flavor. Very accommodating forwards GF diet and good service. We save this place for more special events because it's pricy but you definitely get what you pay for. The restaurant is a vibe not too loud it has a nice slightly casual elegance and a clean restroom. The beef tataki is a must order it's our favorite thing one the menu and when I go everyone orders their own beef tataki appetizer. Salmon sashimi melts in you mouth and anything they make scallops is delicious.“

Splitrock Tap & Wheel Pubs • $$
2020 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, Fairfax - 3.39 miles

“Purchased a Specialized Kenevo about 3 months ago from Splitrock. This is my 4th emtb. Jason, the owner, and his staff did an excellent job in dialing in the bike to my exact preferences. This was definitely the best emtb purchasing experience I’ve ever had by miles!! The staff was happy to go above and beyond in dialing the bike to my exact specs and expeditiously upgraded the forks as I waited in the great shop and enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Splitrock restaurant. On getting the bike, I was able to immediately test ride it on some great trails (classic Marin trails) a short riding distance from the shop. After the maiden run, I enjoyed a cold brew at the Splitrock tap room with some local riders who were as stoked as I was after their trail rides!! Great and rare combination of mtb shop, restaurant, tap room and friendly post ride scene!! I hope to be back soon and feel so fortunate to have the experience I did at Splitrock Tap and Wheel!???‍♂️?“

“A small and cozy place to have breakfast or brunch. The food is filling, but light. The biscuits in the biscuits and gravy were light and not dense. The mushroom soup was delicious. The French toast was nice and custard like in the center. Love the coffee with refills. The service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back for more.“

ATM Machine at Moylan's Brewery & Restaurant Pubs • $$
15 Rowland Way, Novato - 8.44 miles

“Food: 5 stars Service: 5 stars Cleanliness and spaciousness: 5 stars We were on an errand run that took us 300 miles north of home. We coordinated with a West Marin relative to meet for lunch, and Moylan's was her pick: easy freeway access, plentiful parking, lots of varied menu options. Unfortunately, as we had a long drive home ahead of us, we weren't able to fully partake of the plentiful and diverse beer menu, but our server gave me a sample of Dragoon's Dry Irish Stout (so delicious) as well as San Quentin's Breakout Stout (smoother, more chocolaty, but a second-choice for me). Our server was attentive (didn't keep bugging us about ordering since we clearly were talking, then talking with each other ABOUT what we MIGHT order) and settled in as he saw we were ready to order. Friendly service, accurate, attentive. The food came out much more quickly than I had anticipated, and was all hot and tasty. Blue cheese burgers (one with TRULY garlicky garlic fries, the other with proper beer-battered onion rings - none of that crumbly stuff), and one lamb stew with a side of bread and butter. All three of us came away satiated, happy with our food, and having shared bites of each others because it all looked so tempting! Looking forward to returning for a brewer focused meal on a day with a more open schedule and no driving required.“
