“I've been at Pho Queen half a dozen times. I've had the pho, egg noodle soup, banh mi, rice plates, cha gio, and coffee. I think it's among the top 3 Vietnamese restaurants in the East Bay. The best in the Tri-Valley by a big margin. The menu is simple, but very delicious. The owner and cook (named Thuy, I think) is a very sweet and hard working woman. The servers I've experienced have been attentive and eager to please, though not super polished. (The Vietnamese are not known for polished service. My wife and I joke that the lack of refinement is a good sign of authenticity.) I've seen Vietnamese restaurants in the Tri-Valley come and go in the pass 25 years, and I hope this one makes it.“

“When i walked in Heather greeted us with a great smile. Her vibe put me and my girlfriend in a great mood. My girlfriend got the chicken bulgogi and i got the beef. It was sooooooo good. The cabage salad had a delicous dressing and the macaronia salad rice and beef was great. It was very clean and the news and music videos on the tvs were nice. Music was chill. “I had been craving a sandwich with some good bread. We went right before closing and to my surprise the bread was still fresh, had a slight crisp outside and very soft inside. We loved it so much we went back the next day. Our choices were cold tuna, italian and the brisket sandwiches. All were very good choices. The clam chowder soup was a great compliment to the tuna. My son had the mac-n-cheese he doesn’t eat anyones, but mine, however, he liked it! I plan to go back and try the French Dip next time. ?“

“I ordered the make-your-own-pasta bowl with fettuccine and marinara sauce. The breadsticks were amazing and the pasta was pretty good. Our waitress was really nice and we got our soups in about 3 minutes. Even though they didn’t have fettuccine on their make-your-own-pasta bowl, she made sure I got it free of charge. “We've entrusted Erik's Deli to cater several of our events. Most recently, we requested they provide 25 box lunch meals on a very short timeline. The Erik's Deli team were more than happy to accept the order, super responsive, accommodated our special requests, and had our order done early! We couldn't ask for better service.“

“They’re reliable! Been going here for about 8 years now. It seems to be ran by a Chinese couple there, very kind folk. Always a smile on their face when I see them. It’s a super no-frills hole-in-the-wall call—ahead type dealio. Our regular items are:

4. Beef and Brocolli
5. Sweet and sour pork
6. Fried pork wontons
7. Shrimp egg foo young - recent pick-up

& some refrigerated Dr. Pepper cans! Call ahead about 15-20 minutes and they’re always pretty good about getting done by then. Sometimes I wait a little extra but it’s because they’re a bit busy for dinner time.“

“I love Nick the Greek and exploring new locations. This location deserves 5 ?!!! Great staff, amazing food, and super clean dining area. The outside seating is super nice! Will be coming here when I crave Nick the Greek now! Also the fries were so good I took them home and they were still crispy! ?“

“I'm currently getting over a cold and needed some hot soup for lunch. I've driven past this place for the past year but never made the effort to come. I decided to change that today. The outside can be a little easy to miss as it's tucked away in an open strip mall, but parking is ample.

I was immediately seated as it was really packed for the lunch hour. The menu isn't huge on variety but in a good way. Too many restaurants try to pack too many items in, but this restaurant knows its identity and what they're good at. They stick to the classic Vietnamese dishes with little to no frills. I ended up with a bowl of beef pho with the rib bone. The food came out surprisingly quick which was excellent for those on a time crunch. The soup was flavorful and hot. They give you a good amount of meat and noodles. Side note - a lot of other pho places have been skimping on noodles lately.

Overall I was really impressed with the level of service and food. I would definitely be back to try other dishes. I was suggested to try the grilled chicken rice dish and the bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup). The decor is also really cute and trendy with a really laid back vibe. I definitely recommend it to anyone in the area for some good classic Vietnamese food.“

“We recently visited Go Goong and were looking forward to trying their BBQ pork. While the food itself was okay, flavorful enough—the overall experience was underwhelming. The portion size was quite small considering the price, and the ambiance didn’t live up to what you’d expect at that price point. What really stood out, unfortunately, was the service. The waitress was unexpectedly rude, which dampened the mood and made us feel uncomfortable throughout the meal. It’s disappointing when service overshadows the food. We wouldn’t rule it out entirely for a quick bite, but it’s not a place we’d go out of our way to visit again.“

“The drive-through at this location used to be super slow. It's now regular wait times and really great upbeat staff! Dealing with the public can drain you. The young woman who helped me today 1/13/2025 was absolutely above and beyond. If her boss reads this, she has facial piercings around her mouth and dark hair.
