Panino Montecito is a great stop for quality and good tasting food, known for its great sandwiches. The hospitality is great and the staff are very knowledgeable and patient. The restaurant itself is very open and filled with natural light, with clean tables and sturdy chairs, making it a great place for a nice lunch.

The bread is so good and fresh, which really compliments all the sandwich ingredients. Specific highlights include the turkey sandwich, with its very fresh and perfect avocado and good sourdough bread. The curried chicken salad on focaccia is a favorite, tasting the same as it did years ago. The Panino Cobb, with honey mustard, is one of the highest quality and hearty sandwiches, where the pungent cheese complements the saltiness of the prosciutto. The chicken & pesto sandwich is hands down the best sandwich some have ever had.

For healthier fare, the chicken salad is perfectly seasoned and super fresh, served on a bed of greens, with a thick and tasty balsamic dressing. While the location can be difficult to walk to safely, Panino Montecito is not a fancy place yet makes great sandwiches, earning high recommendations from visitors.
