“We were there for a music event late Jan 2025. HH drink specials were tasty but was disappointed on how cold it was inside the restaurant. Both doors, front & back, were wide open during the entire evening show (48 degrees outside). Even the band mentioned how cold it was before beginning their set. All the customers wore jackets. Also, the harsh lighting was way too bright throughout the restaurant. I wanted my sunglasses on. Please read the room & tone down the lighting & warm the place up, then we’ll be back. Mahalo“

“Love Hindquarter! Been going for many years mostly for dinner/drinks but am now also loving their delicious lunch specials which change daily. You can enjoy lunch specials until dinner menu starts at 4 pm! Deserts are great and the 3 berry cobbler with vanilla icecream is incredible! Highly recommend!“

“Love coming to Haggin Oaks to visit MacKenzie’s for the food. Steak salad is the healthy option for me. Ribeye steak sandwich is also a great choice. My wife always appreciates the wonderful service that Tresa provides. Yes, menu prices are higher, but blame it on Dimensia Joe and our own failure, Gavin Newscum for making it tough for any business to survive in beautiful California.“

“UPDATE..OCT 10TH. SERVICE SUCKED. THE LONG BLONDE HAIR WAS TAKING SHOTS WITH GUEST INSTEAD OF DOING HER JOB. TWICE I SEEN HER LOOK AT OUR TABLE AND IGNORE THE EMPTY DRINKS OR THE FACT THAT I WAS TRYING TO GET HER ATTENTION. TERRIBLE SERVICE. WILL NOT GO BACK.“

“The Thanksgiving buffet( 1230pm reservation) was beautifully executed. There was perfectly cooked prime rib, turkey and roast lamb. That in itself makes the dinner a win. There was a fish selection of poke, crab, oysters and shrimp and the sides were plentiful. One could choose breakfast items if so inclined. Desserts were good with a massive selection of choice. I lean to saying the carrot cake was one of the better I've ever had as it was not cloyingly sweet. The icing wasn't typical cream cheese but it was good. The staff was attentive. The entire hotel staff was pleasant. It's a hectic day for staff but they didn't show it. A relatively insignificant thing was the coffee was cold. I'm sure if I pointed it out it, a new pot would've arrived. I just switched to tea. If the price stays more or less on point, we may have found a new family tradition for 4. Congratulations to Chaminade.“

“Every time I go, spot in with the food. This is what I look for in a restaurant. Think out of the box menu with consistency every time I go with every item I order. I keep working down the menu to try everything. They obviously make their own sauce, the ranch, super bomb diggity. Fries, onion rings, salad all fresh and crisp. Mac and Gouda cheese bites, Yes! Chop cheese, you gotta have one of these! Mushroom cap “burger “ something you will crave, Parish pie, goodness wrapped up in one dish. Salmon fish & chips, fantastic. And I forgot to mention beer, beer, beer, they also have beer and mixed drinks. There is always specials on the screens. Last time I noticed something about tenderloin and bacon …… can’t wait to go back and find out!“

“Kitchen staff leaves PROMPTLY at 10pm so dont expect any food or dessert after 10. Additionally, the internet states the establishment closes at 11pm. Although the staff (they told us) has been told repeatedly that the closing time is incorrect, no one has bothered to correct it. Wait staff is lackadaisical. They did not communicate last call on cocktails or offer dessert prior to kitchen close.“
