A California legend still making some of (if not THE) best wine in the state...sorry Napa but you know it's true. Great history and an amazing view. Well worth the crazy drive up the single lane dirt road. Super entertaining and cute dogs on the property too, for you dog lovers.
A hidden gem of a winery up in the hills of Saratoga! We did a wine tasting with them on a weekday (they're currently only open for tastings by appointment on weekdays). The ambiance and view up by their tasting area was amazing, definitely in one of our top favorites. You get a view of their vineyards as well as the entire bay with the mountains by Fremont/Milpitas/San Jose on the other side.The wine itself was very high quality and tasty. Our visit to Mount Eden Vineyards was excellent. The location is spectacular, the wines are extraordinary and the host was very friendly and knowledgeable. This was a highlight of our wine tour.
