“Mountain Winery is a delightful event venue - the layout, the amphitheater, and the helpful staff - but it has some drawbacks. Access and egress before and after an event are atrocious. The fabulous views are only possible because of the narrow, winding road that takes you to the top. When you eventually arrive the parking is costly. When you leave you find yourself stuck, barely moving, in a solid lane of traffic. Unfortunately, there is no way round this. Best to arrive 2 hours before the event and leave one hour afterwards. Seriously.“

“Discovered this amazing place with my Wines of the Santa Cruz Mountains passport and couldn’t be more thankful. Hands down the best Santa Cruz Mountains vineyard I have been to yet. The hospitality was amazing (our server was Rachel)! We did the Largo flight and the wines were so good that I walked away with a bottle of the cab 🍷 I also recommended their charcuterie, it had a lot of verity in the packaging and was served with a side of crackers. “Stopped for a tasting in the tasting room. It was easy to book a reservation online.
Upon arriving, We were greeted by name by Diane. She was very welcoming and got us started on the tasting. We did one of each of the tastings to try the variety. There were good wines on both selections.
Having been to Napa/Sonoma I'm familiar with the wine club pitch. It did come a bit early and listened to a lot of 'upsells' to others that had stopped in to get their wine club order.
As someone in sales/commercial roles, I can appreciate the hustle and recognize that Diane is very good at her role.
That said, we ordered a bottle to enjoy on the patio and took some with us for the wine suitcase to bring home.
The stone buildings are pretty remarkable and the patio provides a lot of room to enjoy the venue.“

“Regale Winery and Vineyard, been coming here to relax by myself and sometimes bring my friends and family for the past 15 years. First introduced by my membership friend then i became a member. Part of my life changed. Life became at peace whenever i come here. I enjoy Pinot Noir. Usually end up getting a bottle of Pinot. My favorite was the 2014 Pinot. But all Pinot from Regale are exceptional. I chose Regale bc the employees are super knowledgeable , welcoming and lovely. Larry, Janelle, Jim, Rudy were the first few that i met, are amazing❣They are really caring and melts my heart. You will be able to sense the warm sincerity. It’s a great feeling!! It’s rare.
Hours used to be longer and opened earlier. I wished it opened earlier. Closing early i understand bc it gets darker early in the winter months. I do suggest hours of 11am-5pm during the longer months of daylight though. I miss the days that I spent 11 am - 5pm enjoying Pinot and taking in the beautiful landscapes.
My dream is for Regale to open on Friday and close at 7 PM for people who want to relax after work. I would be at Regale’s every Friday after work 🥰

It is absolutely a very Beautiful, Adults only, winery & vineyard. I enjoy coming here Rain or Shine. Listening to the rain and raindrops is tranquil. Very soothing. ❤“
