“This is my favorite place for breakfast and brunch in Downtown Santa Cruz. The bread is made fresh in-house every day, and you can really taste the difference. Their eggs are local and super fresh, which makes everything feel more homemade.
The chicken is cooked in a style that reminds me of Taiwanese fried chicken cutlets. It’s crispy and full of flavor. I always get the mushroom scramble. It’s my favorite dish. The curry rice is also really good.
The drinks are tasty and not too sweet. I always order the fresh squeezed orange juice. The space is cute, the colors are warm, and the staff is friendly.
If you’re visiting Santa Cruz, definitely come here for breakfast before heading to the beach.“

“This was the absolute best breakfast I’ve had in maybe years I don’t know when the last time I had a breakfast like that was!! They do like a potato mash on the side, but it’s perfectly crispy on top and bottom and has amazing flavors!!! The service was just over the top. This is definitely a kind of little restaurant I would support. I’ll definitely try coming here every time I come down to visit.!! Most definitely recommend!!“

“Wife and I went to the cook house last Sunday 12/8/24 and had great experience there, As we walked in we were greeted by the staff and seated at the bar right away. They had our drinks to us within minutes of sitting down. The owner/waitress came over and took our order very quickly. We were impressed with her, She had a packed house and still was smiling and talking to everyone there. She knows 90% off the customers walking through the door and made it feel like I was apart of a Cheers episode. Now when the food came out it was so yummy. My wife and I are now gonna choose this establishment over anything else in town. Total family vide here.

“We three had an EXCELLENT brunch there today. We all opted for the California Eggs Benedict. Absolutely Delicious!! Service was impeccable, Atmosphere delightful with the nice Aptos sun ? out. We all just raved about the good food and service. Highly Recommend !!
Wheelchair accessibility: Need someone to help you with your wheelchair - two small steps. Go to the right (not main entrance) toward the outdoor seating. I was on crutches and had No problem.“

Discount each time (not automatic). 95% of the in time service is EXCELLENT & food is prepared well. Recently had a 2nd BAD experience with an unfamiliar server who was very rude & neglecting tableS, incorrect orders WHEN they came & COLD, HARD EGGS on EGGS BENEDict...yuck Not sure if the cook was new or rude waitress just ignored the order up & left sitting too long before serving. Quite the extreme opposite of our USUAL great experience!“
