“I am ELATED that there is FINALLY something in SV!!! And "something" isnt to downplay, this place is AWESOME! The crew working here is fantastic; from the uber consistent and talented kitchen to the amazing beertenders and bar tenders, if youre in the area please do yourself a favor and come on in. Awesome for a weekday chill spot or a nice turn up on game day this place has it all!So the beer: it is fantastc, in a market SUPER over saturated with IPAs Monk's has an old school and authentic malt foward approach, the way beer should be. While there do offer great hazys and west coasts this place is a gem for me as a lover of classic beer. They have everything from kölsch to dubbel and please dont skip on the new kellerbier! A style rarely seen outside of germany! The London Calling Porter might be a top 10 California beer imo.The food! A little something for everyone. Best pretzel outside of bavaria and burgers to die for! Also best calamari in the county! Prime ribs special is fantastic! Street tacos tuesdays are bomb!Service is also best in the area! From Mikey at the bar whipping up the classic cocktails with a modern twist to the entire crew Hale, Conor, Charlie and Farah, I never have a bad time here! Please do yourself a favor and come on down for a pint!“

“Swell place, only been once, coming back for sure! Tried the light lager they had on tap - decent - and had a sip of some berry brew -not my preference, but it was a good brew. Looks funky with their beer barrels in the back and a humongous heated patio.“

“SC Bread Boy is a cheeseburger savant. The burgers were absolutely perfect. Chef Lance smashed them so beautifully that they came out with this gorgeous, lacy beef skirt and they're just oozing with cheese. The buns are squishy, the pickles are plentiful and crunchy, and the onions melt in your mouth. It was our first time, but I think the menu changes. This weekend, we got:The OG: DBL Patty, DBL Cheese, long cut Pickle, Onions, Burger SauceButter Burger: DBL Patty, DBL Cheese, whipped whole fat Sriracha butterMarket Salad: Red Butter lettuce, Winter citrus, Daikon, Parm, Red wine vin (the salad was just as well made as the burgers! it's a real treat. get it!)Tip: The fries have this extra crispy, craggy coating that make them extra delicious. So get your own fries. You won't want to share! We got extra burger sauce and homemade buttermilk ranch to dip them in.Humble Sea itself was 100% chill. People brought their dogs and their kids and the staff was super friendly. Hubby tried 3 beers and loved them all. He even bought a 4-pack. And I was super stoked to learn that they also serve cocktails and wine. The margarita I had was simple, but good.We will definitely be back because what's better than amazing burgers and beer on a cold, rainy night?“

“Like many other reviewers, we used to go to Seabright Brewery pretty often when we visited Santa Cruz. Sometimes we came over the hill just for the salmon fish and chips. After the change in owners, though, like many others on Yelp, we visited once and never went back. (That visit was in June 2020.) Then we saw a news article last weekend that there is a new menu and we were already going to be in Seabright, so we decided to give it a chance. We sat outside in the gorgeous weather and remembered how awesome the patio is there. Here are some observations: Beer menu is great - they have local guest taps from the popular breweries in the area as well as a couple of their own taps. Beer price was reasonable. Beer was served quickly and was cold. Food menu itself is fine. No, they didn't bring back the panko-breaded salmon fish and chips that literally everyone on Yelp misses. Very few if any veg options. (You can sub a mushroom for meat on sandwiches, but no beyond burger or veggie patties.) I had the fish sandwich and the batter was really good. Very crispy breading, good-sized piece of fish, toasty bun. Could've used about a half cup more coleslaw on it - was a little dry - and could've used some salt in the coleslaw. Sandwiches are a la carte, so if you want fries, that's another $8 on top of the $16 sandwich. My husband's brisket patty melt was $18. We shared a sweet potato fry and those were delicious. Patty melt was good and not too messy or gigantic (though for $18, maybe it should've been more gigantic). It seems like they are struggling to have enough staff as there was only one server and the owner was running around filling waters for people. But I'd go back, if only for the patio and beer. Maybe I'll try a salad next time. I'll forever mourn the loss of the salmon fish and chips, though. #bringitback“
