I recently went to watch world cup, and another time after a Giants game. Two different experiences in terms of crowds, but the beer was great. I love the Kolsch. The bar tenders are very friendly and attentive. This has become my go to place to visit when I come to the city. Thrive City is a great addition to this beautiful city. “First brewery of the day and what an excellent neighborhood brew pub sitting on the corner of Bryant St and Cesar Chavez St. A lot to choose from so we went high ABV with the Hazed & Confused Double Hazy IPA at 9%. We both enjoyed it.“

Also beer to go available. Connected to the Prescott Food Hall for pizza, Taiwanese food, smash burgers, cafe, deli/butcher shop, and Highwire coffee. Secure car and bike parking on site.

Opens up to a sandbox and outdoor green space. Hoping Almanac can continue to bring the family/kid-friendly atmosphere here like they have in Alameda.

And most importantly: the beer is outstanding. This pils is everything I look for — depth, balance, and character that only comes from time, care, and quality ingredients. By far the best lager in the bay- yeah I said it!

“BG and I stopped at Monkey King at the Brewery before her nail appointment. There was no wait when we arrived, which made it an easy choice when we were on a schedule.

We ordered the Korean-flavored wings and pork fried rice. The wings were generously coated in sauce and packed with flavor, while the fried rice had plenty of pork, egg, and green onion throughout. Everything tasted good and the portions were satisfying.

Service was okay—nothing bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. The biggest challenge was finding parking, so give yourself a little extra time. Overall, the food made it a solid stop, and I would return to try more of the menu.“

“They don’t serve craft beer here anymore. So now it’s basically a just a spacious and mellow cafe. That isn’t a bad thing, but it doesn’t have the same vibes these days. The coffee is so so, but there’s generally space to spread out and chill. Plus you can grab groceries and whatever upstairs.“
