“The food was delicious, but the star of this visit was Zach (sorry if I misspelled your name). I was the first customer of the day and his customer service was some of the best I've ever had in my life! It was my first time visiting this establishment and he walked me through the menu giving me insight on was the popular items are. I went with his favorite Philly, "The Works". I also wanted a soda and he recommended the Hanks bottle soda. The root beer was a perfect pairing. I got a half order of fries and he suggested I try out their garlic pepper sauce. While I waited for my food, he was telling me about the place and pointed out the newspaper articles up on the wall. The Philly cheese steak was absolutely delicious. The bread was so soft and fresh. The garlic pepper sauce was absolute fire ?! On the spicer side, but so perfect on the cheese steak. Similar to The Pepper Plant California style hot sauce to get to an idea of the flavor profile. I bet it would be fantastic on some eggs, but I digress.Zach checked on me to see how I was liking my food and his recommendations. You can absolutely feel how passionate he is to providing a wonderful customer experience, and how much he loves his job. The world needs more people like him. Protect him at all costs, he's a gem. Also, if you can budget in a raise that would be cool. THE MAN ALSO SANG THE TASTYKAKE JINGLE!I will definitely make a stop here next time I'm in town. Thank you for making the world a better place.“
“I understand the topic of bad customer service these days has been beaten to death in the news and social media but this Philly’s location really took the cake.We went to pick up our phone order tonight and the young lady who charged us and handed us our bag was so unbelievably rude.My husband and I were very polite and for whatever reason got three eyerolls out of her in our 60 second transaction. We walked back in immediately because something was missing from our order and she acted like it was OUR fault. She gave it to us with an extra eyeroll before we left. We must have been inconveniencing her.Food here is fantastic, and that deserves at least 4 stars in my opinion, but I will not return to this location.“
“Like why are ratings so bad? The Steak Escape at Los Cerritos Mall was an excellent experience. In fact, it reminded me of childhood when mall food courts were a thing and you'd all be up in here on a Friday or Saturday with yo frendz trying to ration the $5 dollars yo momma gave you and yo allowance. Steak Eacape woulda been over my budget back then but here i am an adult living my best life. I ordered the Grand Scape small (8" - $8.99 - pricing may be different). It comes with steak, onions, mushrooms, green peppers + provolone. It also comes with lettuce and maybe other vegetables. Maybe. Whatever the case, this was good - definitely not the fatty experience I was anticipating, but deliicous nonetheless. Most mall cheesesteak experiences involve lots and lots of veggies which I find quite weird because sans mall, cheesesteaks can be veggie free. The meat was quite tender. While it could have stood for more flavor, I didn't mind it. The cheese offset the lack of flavor so at the end of the day, twas a win for everyone. Whatever it may be, Steak Escape made for a very great nostalgic escape and delicious meal.“
“I eat here often, my favorite lunch spot. Team Members are incredibly nice. Food is exceptional and made to order. Sometimes there is a wait but the meal is worth it! Accommodating to requests, no attitude, and good food...Guests are a hot mess express and leave trash behind. During busy times no one can clean up. Never disgusting, mostly receipts and lemonade juice. They should have adequate A/C as it gets hot back there, especially when it's busy!!“
“If you are a Philly Cheesesteak lover this place is definitely worth it. They serve a variety of sides/fries/salads and Sandwiches. My favorite is "The Works" Cheesesteak.Freshly baked bread, tender & juicy steak sautéed with peppers, onions, mushrooms. Truly delicious.“
