Loved every aspect of this place . Casual , fun , items I have not seen before and the flavors were so good . We were visiting from out of town but will definitely come back . Hesitant to leave such a good review because I don’t want there to be a line when we come back . 🙂
We were here on vacation and came to eat at this restaurant. I got the mole. As someone with food allergies (dairy/fish), this place was very safe for me to eat at. I appreciate having options I can eat on their menu.
The mole negro was exceptional!

El padrino Oaxaqueño Restaurant is a wonderful and fantastic place with amazing, super good food. The cuisine is delicious, plentiful, and incredible, with excellent taste and flavorful dishes. It is unlike other Mexican cuisine. Many highlight the mole, calling it the best they have ever had, specifically recommending the mole negro and mole amarillo. The flautas enmoladas, rellenos peppers, and molotes are also nice. Sides like the flavorful rice and beans are noted, along with fresh tortillas, chips, and salsa. Drinks like the prickly pear agua fresca and cafe de olla are excellent. Service is above and beyond, excellent, and top notch, with friendly and nice staff who provide explanations. The restaurant offers complimentary items like lentil soup and sometimes holiday champagne. It is highly recommended for a return visit.
