Their cornbread hits different as it’s not the typical cornbread some of you think. EVERY thing on the menu is good. I literally tried everything. When the banana pudding ice cream is in stock, do yourself a favor and grab one if you can!

“I've tried just about everything on the menu at Shady Grove Foods and nothing disappoints. I can close my eyes and put my finger on the menu and I would be happy wherever it landed. I had Sticky Bones again tonight and I'm as thrilled as the first time I tried them and all the other times I've had them and in fact I feel like tonight's were the best ever. I seriously enjoy their food and hospitality. The hardest part is driving back to Cal Heights without opening the box and start eating. “The most incredible catering company ever! I used TGIS for my wedding in Malibu. They were the most professional, organized and responsible company. “They specialize in Gorditas and they definitely make a quality Gordita. Super flavorful, the salsa reminds me of the one my mom makes. They have tons of options too, vegetarian (rajas con queso), pescatarian (shrimp and papas), etc. The chorizo and papas and the chile verde were delicious. Love that their chicharrón is a combination of meat, chicharrón, and buche. Highly recommend, just keep in mind if that area is busy especially from the nearby brewery parking is a hassle. Calling ahead would be advised as well since everything is made fresh and takes awhile.

Parking: Was difficult finding parking on the weekend. So keep that in mind.“

“Cena Vegan is sort of a staple for vegan Mexican food if you’re in the Southern California area. I was impressed by the cloud kitchen set up here in Long Beach. The food hall is quite nice and well kept. There is a receptionist available for instruction if you’re unfamiliar with how cloud kitchens work. And of course, the food from Cena Vegan is always top notch.“

“This is a great little out of the way place in a strip mall type situation. There is not a ton of parking but it's just enough.

There was live music by a acoustic guitarists. That was really cool. I wasn't expecting that. It really added to the atmosphere. Our waiter was great and really knew his stuff on the menu, and had a fantastic attitude.

I ordered the pizza, which was overcooked. Don't get me wrong, I like a crispy crust, but this was definitely overdone. However, the others in my party really enjoyed their food. One of them got the lasagna, which I was going to get. I probably should have. He said it was pretty awesome. So, who knows.

The kalbi ribs is my favorite but if you like spicy get the spicy pork. Another fave is the bulgogi and pork belly. They give a good amount of food for the price. Always fresh! Check them out. “I've been coming here for the past 25+ years. This place has the best tacos and Mexican food in the area hands down. I personally like the hurache and the quesedilla Hecha a Mano. Get the spicy salsa and your meat of choice. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu here. Fresh and authentic is what you'll get everytime.“

“My roommate decided to try the coffee after hearing about it through a friend in CA (we are in RI). My roommate says it is by far one of the best coffees he has ever tasted. Very aromatic! Smooth and just, well, a must try! It was also ground well, packaging was great, delivery was on time. Website was easy to use. We'll be back for another shipment!“

“Worked here a few weeks before COVID lockdowns happened in late March of 2020, flights cancelled at a rate of 90% is what I was told a week prior to the lock downs began. It was an ok work place, worked in the area where you put gummy bears, chips etc in the trays that fit into the carts. I'm not sure if it's a continued practice or not to this day but when I was there we repackaged any food that was unopened over and over again, much of the same food's been on multiple flight's.“
