“I placed my first order last week and picked up my bag on my way to work. Upon arriving I unzipped the bag to find a most amazing array of colorful and artfully created meals. Each of them has a distinct personality and worldwide cuisine... I love my Foodsmith food! I am looking forward to my next set on Thursday. Officially I will sign up for weekly meals because as a 40+ hour a week RN I need to keep myself healthy and avoid fast food that was becoming my norm. “Aroma Restaurant in Ben Lomond is well worth a visit, as much for the delicious food and fine decor as the friendly service. Mario, the owner, will charm you with Italian phrases, intermittent singing, and his friendly ways. He and his crew have done a bang-up job of modernizing and re-vamping the old Tyrolean Inn. We stopped in for lunch one day, great gourmet burger and fries and ceviche. The complimentary bread and olive oil/herb mix is top notch. There’s a nice beer and wine selection to go with our lunch. We are looking forward to returning at night for a cocktail at the beautiful bar and to sample dinner offerings. On Mondays and Tuesdays, they have authentic Mexican food, prepared by an authentic Michoacana. If you haven’t checked out Aroma, give it a try. You won’t be sorry!“

“I love Pana!! It’s a hidden gem of the Central Coast. Serving up amazing Venezuelan food, the arepas are so good! If you’ve never tried an arepa you are missing out… I recommend the Reina Pepiada (shredded chicken, avocados, and mayo) or El Tiburon (shrimp, mozzarella, avocado) and of course an order of delicious fried plantains! I discovered the Pana Food Truck at the CSUMB campus (they are most often in Santa Cruz) and I was pleased to find that they have a location at the SAP Center in San Jose. Highly Recommend!“

“I found Rebecca's muffins at Campbell farmers market. They are so delicious and you can't really tell whether they are sugar free, soy free, gluten free and vegan. I have some health problem so I have to be on an anti inflammatory diet and I just look forward to every Sunday where I can go buy her muffins. God bless her!“

“Reliably good artisan pastries. I would not not put them in the same tier as Manresa, but definitely the sole residents of the next tier down.

That being said, I had the pistachio dream (I think that’s what it was called) and wow now that is an excellent confection and more like something I would expect from say Tartine in the city or Quail and Condor. Definitely a dessert (not breakfast) treat, it’s a flaky pastry cup (I’m sure there is a more accurate term) with a baklava-esque pistachio filling, topped with Italian meringue. Phenomenal.“

“Pretty cozy spot - portions are great, they do put a very generous amount of cream cheese on the bagels which is a nice thing.
Queue times are average, staff was nice with their suggestions. Highly recommend trying the half guac - half cheese if you’re looking for a flavorful experience!“

“Visiting SC from Michigan and came across Suda. Glad we did. Looked like it had a good vibe from the outside so we went in and sat at the bar where we had drinks. What fun! The bartender, Max, was slammed but never stopped smiling. We had fun watching him and talking with him. He knows his drinks! So much fun we came back for dinner another night. Max came over to our table to welcome us back! The drinks and food were really good! We’ll definitely be back next visit to SC. Hopefully, Max, will be there too!“

“BEST BAGEL PLACE IN SANTA CRUZ. Bagels are fresher and larger than Bagelry. Portions are bigger and cheaper than the Bagelry. You get more stuff on your bagel without having to pay extra, which unfortunately is the case at the Bagelry. I always get a Lox sandwich with capers, onions, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber already included in the price which is $7. At the Bagelry when I order a Lox sandwich, I get a stale bagel twice smaller and I have to pay extra for capers and tomatoes- $13 total, which does not have any lettuce or cucumber in it. House of Bagels is the best bang for your buck and has the tastiest bagels around. (Pic is what I took to-go this morning)“

“I was in town with my daughter for college visits and came across this restaurant in Santa Cruz via google maps. We went on a Sunday morning and were seated immediately after ordering, and the food arrived very quickly. We ordered vegan versions of a couple of their menu items and they were VERY good. Lots of flavor, not heavy sitting. We liked it so much we went back the following morning for breakfast before we took off to another state for another college visit. There were still more vegan items I would have liked to try on their menu. Definitely recommend this quaint little restaurant. Vegan friendly, but also good choices for omnis too.“

“I stumbled onto this spot while on a work trip. It was lunch time and I was in the mood for a nice sandwich. So I decided to give this place a try. Right when I walked in I noticed how clean the place was, which I appreciate greatly. They had just opened so I was the only customer. I placed my ordered at the counter. Their menu has so many great sounding sandwiches. But I decided to go the REO Speedwagon and a side house salad. Along with an iced tea. I sat down at a booth and my food arrived shortly after. The sandwich had a nice helping of quality meats, fresh produce and the sour dough bread was perfection. The salad was also very good and the perfect size. Overall everything tasted great and at a reasonable price. The staff were all friendly and provided prompt service. I will definitely come here again when I’m in the area.“

“I ordered the falafel gyro wrap, hummus appetizer, and the kids burger. Everything was incredibly delicious! Food was fresh and tasty. I can’t wait to go back. They have nice seating inside and there are also table and chairs you can use outside on nice days. I highly recommend!
