Pretty good food for a ski resort. They will get you on pricing, as expected, but you can save a little if you have the Epic Pass. There's also the Bar 9150 here where you can get alcohol. They do have different specials, as indicated by the Pulled Pork sandwich, so check before you go if you're looking for something specific. Out of the lodges inside Heavenly, this is the nicest one of them all. I say this as someone who is skiing/riding. Tamarack is easily accessible from the South Lake Tahoe center, so this means a lot of non-skiiers can take the Gondola up to access the Observation Deck and Tamarack Lodge. Food wise, it's the same overpriced, average food you get at any ski resort - burgers, hot dogs, chili, salad. Nice place at Heavenly Mountain Resort to stop in for a bite or a bathroom break after a full day of skiing. It is a pretty large lodge and is located at the top of the gondola drop-off. The menu consists of mostly food that you will see in quick service restaurants and bars - burgers, chicken strips, mac 'n' cheese and some grab 'n' go snacks.
