I'm so glad I came across this little gem. I will definitely keep an eye out for the truck the next time I'm at Westborough Park.“

“Tonight was probably 5th or 6th time we have brought out of town guests to Hazie’s and yet another impeccable meal loved by all - the 4 of us shared the Oaxacan Cheese Fundido, a Caesar Salad, roasted Salmon with risotto, Grilled Wagyu Flat Iron Steak with Chimichurri sauce, fries and addictive flash fried broccolini, and a Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. We had prompt helpful service and the added joy of meeting the chef (Joey Altman) who stopped by the table to introduce himself and check on things personally - so welcoming and easy to talk to. “Wanted to like this place more. Dosa Box is one of the ghost kitchens in San Mateo Food Mall. Ordered from the website for pick up. You get a text when it's ready, go inside and check in with the worker who is at the desk. They open the locker for you where the food is placed.

Our dosas were completely soggy. Would have been very good if it was still crispy. Although it makes sense that dosa would not be a good take out item. They could've poked holes in the box or put the masala potatoes separate instead of inside the dosa to maintain crispiness.

Also just a note if anyone was wondering, the masala dosa comes with sambar (since the menu is not clear about that).“

“I went there a few months ago and the flavors have been lingering in my mind. I can never enjoy another sandwich the same way I did with this one. The flavor was amazing but the texture was even better. The perfect crunch of the outside of the bread paired with the soft inside was 10/10. The workers are so kind and you can tell they really care about what they're doing. The inside of the building is really small and a tight fit but it's 100% worth it. Definitely recommend.“

“Killer casual Japanese curry in the Mission district. The signature curry bowl was a slam dunk (we tried both the pork cutlet and chicken katsu — slight preference for the chicken). It was pretty sweet but the table had five different spices to add in, making it easy to get exactly the level of fire you want.

The portion was generous and since they don’t have a large menu, the food came out quickly. It’s a killer spot for a warm homey meal if you need food and you need it STAT.“

“Our hostess was awesome. She went above service level and worked with multiple bartenders and waitresses to find a place where the six of us could enjoy enjoy our music and food with heat. As you know the nights get cold and our original reservation had us outside but for some reason we were placed at a table without a heat lamp. The hostess did a great job and found us a perfect replacement. Good for her!“

I don’t know his name but that guy is the biggest difference between The Grove and every other eatery in San Francisco. He really sets the atmosphere that reverberates through the rest of the restaurant.

“A very popular malatang restaurant in San Mateo. If I have to rate, this one is a solid 8/10, and probably the one with the spiciest broth among all the malatang spot in the Bay. I have tomyum soup and honestly, it's sooooo spicy. Like definitely a hard kick if you're not familiar with eating spicy. Meat options are limited, but they offers many type of meat ball/ fish ball (with filling), and it's very interesting to eat. The restaurant is always crowded, but I only waited around 10 minutes until my bowl get served. Overall, nice spot in San Mateo!“
