“Cozy and cute spot for tasty American fare! I visited Hazie’s for a Saturday morning brunch on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by how lovely the space was! The restaurant is spacious and extremely cozy, with ample seating and sunlight. The staff was remarkably friendly, cheerful, and attentive — they joked around with us, noticed immediately when we finished eating and boxed up our food / cleared plates, and were just all around an absolute delight. The food was also very tasty, although I think I’d be excited to come back for lunch / dinner vs. brunch and try from a more expansive (and more vegetarian-friendly) menu. I got their mushroom frittata, which was delicious; it was absolutely packed with mushroom, spinach, and leek, and it came topped with a generous spread of melty goat cheese and pico de gallo. I loved the pop of freshness from the pico — it was much needed to cut through how dense and heavy the frittata was otherwise. It also came with four slices of toast, although they were a smidge too buttery. My partner got their burger with avocado and a side salad and was also very impressed; he commented it was likely a 90th percentile burger for him. It was quite sizeable and cooked at a perfect medium (as he had ordered it), and I appreciated that they put all the tomatoes and pickles on the side so they didn’t get the burger all soggy. The salad was very fresh and quite tasty as well, and was a refreshing break between bites of burger (or, for me, frittata).“

“Ordered via Doordash.
I got the chicken katsu curry with extra raw cabbage (free) and a side order of menchi Katsu (round in the picture). The chicken katsu was pretty good, the breading was fried a little too long for my liking and thicker than the thinner panko breading that I've had elsewhere. The curry roux is good and I wish there was more without having to pay extra for it. This is my first time trying menchi Katsu and it has a thick, almost hard breading which I didn't like- inside it was soft meat and cabbage filling similar to a pork and vegetable bun. I don't think I would get the menchi again.“

“What a surprisingly sweet lunch spot. The food was fantastic and the owner was really friendly and easy to talk to. I had the daily soup and the homemade meatballs - both excellent! Lots of fun signs on the walls too. Don’t let the tvs inside deter you. The owner is more than happy to change the channels (especially for your kiddos) or the mute them.“

“This is my go to place for takeout when im sick or hungry/lazy past 930pm. I always get the kimchi soup with pork belly, seafood pancake, kimchi cold noodle, and more pork belly. Their banchan also includes a crunchy mustard seaweed noodle that is so addicting.
This may be my favorite korean restaurant in the city.“

“I came here with a friend one day for lunch (we had been looking forward to coming to Sarap Shop for a while and were finally able to align our schedules for a weekday, since the hours here are somewhat limited). I ordered the lechon carbonara since all of the dishes here with lechon appeared to be a popular choice online and this seemed like interesting take on dishes that were familiar to me, a fusion of Italian carbonara and Filipino lechon. To be honest, the dish was a tad too oily and salty for my preferences, but also so tasty! I ended up finishing most of it and bringing the rest home since it was a generous portion and a good balance of toppings/mix-ins and noodles. I'd look forward to ordering it again in the future.
The location was a bit... uncertain at first. Sarap Shop is located down a side street off of 4th St which is convenient if you're heading down to a game or concert. I went there from 3rd St and was a bit confused since it just looked like a residential area, but there it was! The red garage door (see other people's pics) was open so the business was indeed open, but my friend and I were confused at first since there was no one inside and it took a moment to realize we needed to order by QR code online. That was all fine, just a bit unexpected. (Other customers and delivery drivers that came in after us looked similarly confused by all the closed doors and closed serving windows inside, so perhaps they just need better signage for these cases?)
Overall a good experience and I look forward to another visit here and the chance to try something new :)“

“I have tough standards for a Rueben sandwich, originally being from NY. This sandwich was outstanding! Automatically coming with Pastrami instead of Corned Beef is not usual, but definitely my preference so that was great. Thick slices conveyed the rich flavor. The rye bread did not have the usual caraway seeds, but had great taste.
I would have this sandwich again.
The Grove has a good atmosphere with funky decor and some classic Rock and Roll images.“

“Yvette, the owner of Swing Shift, has cooked, owned and managed restaurants, AND has traveled extensively. She has brought those experiences to Swing Swift and created a “Greatest Hits” menu. My favorite? The tacos from Mexico City are to die for! Chicharrones give them texture and the tortillas are sublime. Not your usual CalMex tacos. My wife could live on rice. She fell in love with the 5 Spice Fried Rice. The pork belly is tasty, not fatty. And a fried egg finishes the dish. Yvette’s burger isn’t from her travels, it’s from her chef’s brain. She marries spices and cheese and high quality beef to create a new burger experience. Ya gotta try it! While we were there, a regular customer walked in, the staff greeted him and said, “Gumbo?” “Yes.” “Anything else?” “No.” He’s in there all the time, JUST for the gumbo. It will remind you of New Orleans. On a personal note, my mother and grandmother used to challenge each other to chili cook-offs and both their chilis were superb. Mom, Grandma, don’t let Yvette join the contest. Her chili is that good! My wife liked the wine list and I was surprised to find mock-tails (try the Sour!) that were actually good, and not just a mishmash of ingredients like so many places. And they take reservations….yay!“

“This is definitely one of the nicer bars in a neighborhood full of very mediocre ones. They also have bar bites, which are pretty good. And the cocktails are better than their well-drink-focused neighbors, and very fairly priced. For a little more money you step up to an elevated experience.“

“Cute & hip German-inspired pub for beer and grub. Offers some vegan and gluten-free food options.
Nice ambience, with lots of natural wood. Lots of seating at long picnic tables, which suit the atmosphere perfectly but get uncomfortable after a while. Cool decor.“

“Hard to find with only a small sign in the window. It is located in a coffee bar. The food was good. Order at the counter and food is brought to table. I went with 3 friends and we enjoyed our shared meal. Minus one star because I was overcharged and not given the happy hour price for the item I ordered.“

“I’m a huge fan of Malatang, and Zhangliang in San Mateo has the best in the Bay Area. It does get busy, but the wait is always worth it. The ingredient selection is extensive, and I always go for the classic bone broth—it’s rich, flavorful, and has that perfect numbing kick. Orders come out quickly and are piping hot, ready to enjoy.“

“Wonderful texture, and great value for money with too good to go. I got the ube, churro and funnel flavors along with a iced coffee.
Ube: No ube flavor, just the color but still nice
Churro: The best of them all
Funnel cake: A little bitter weirdly
Iced coffee: Way too sweet but refreshing“

“Tbk was not spicy enough, but I suspect they might have lowered the spice level to accommodate the majority customers who aren't used to the spice level.
Overall, taste was great, but the price is a bit high since you don't get that large of portion.“

“We travelled from Maryland to experience San Francisco, found this local restaurant within walking distance of our hotel, and decided to give it a try. It was well worth it! The staff was accommodating, attentive and very friendly. The food was exceptional! If you haven’t tried Mediterranean cuisine or love it, this is the place for you!“
