“I hadn’t been to J&J Bakery since they had changed ownership from Sanitary Bakery. After figuring out Starbucks coffee across the street prompts me stomach issues, I decided to give J&J Bakery a visit. Today, I got their coffee, cream, and sugar. I was impressed by the flavor and freshness of the coffee. Additionally I got me a sugar twist, an apple turnover, and a brownie. I took a bite of each before writing this review and they all taste better than anything I’ve had at Starbucks. It’s sad that by virtue of habit we go to corporation chain stores and never give the local moms and pops store a chance.I recommend this bakery for its coffee and pastries. Give it a shot instead of Starbucks. You won’t be disappointed.“

“Wonderful service. They accommodated our custom requests that were placed shortly before the delivery date was due.The cake itself was delicious and a hit amongst everyone. The fact that the cake was not too sweet was the icing on the cake, so to speak.“

“Well dang this was an excellent find in our travels! A scoop Sticky Monkey on top of a scoop of Mocha Fudge was AMAZING! EACH WERE INDIVIDUALLY EXCELLENT AND TOGETHER THEY WERE ALSO AMAZING!

Also sampled the avocado ice cream. Don't sleep on that. That's pretty dang good.

My only regret is that we couldn't take any with us. They definitely have A ton that you can purchase to bring home for your own freezer!“

“Have been coming to this place for delicious pastries for years, but today I came for their meatball sandwich on dutch crunch bread...and I loved every bit of it. They are very generous with their meatballs and cheese, and the bread was as fresh as you could get. Service was super friendly too, highly recommend.“

“Gabby and her team at Cake Coquette made our wedding cake, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Not only was it absolutely delicious, but she also brought our vision to life beautifully. Gabby was a joy to work with, and our friends and family are still talking about how much they loved the cake!

I will also mention that Gabby went above and beyond to make sure we had our cake on time, when we ran into a hitch with pickup the weekend of the wedding. We are so grateful for the support!

Tina, the owner is amazing at what she does and puts much so effort into her work. I can’t pinpoint a specific dessert because they can whip up just about anything. My favorite in particular is Tina’s delicious red velvet cupcakes. The treats are tasty and made with love. More than that, Tina provides superior customer service. Tina’s staff at the UC Berkeley location is always going above and beyond to make sure that everything is perfect and with a smile. “Randomly visited and bought two pieces for yesterday. I was a bit skeptical about the price／value (a bit pricer than Lady M), but after trying the cakes, my families and I all think it deserves! Cakes are fresh and flavorable, with just right sweetness. We love both the passionfruit and the sesame flavors. The sesame one was especially beyond our expectation. Out of our heart, we recommend this shop and will visit more times in the future.“

“Excellent quality. This is the Asian bakery we keep coming back to over and over again. I particularly recommend the scallion bun, I get that more than anything else, but the Portuguese egg tarts and pineapple cakes deserve honourable mention. It’s all good though.“

“Every time I’ve gone there it’s been a great experience! When there’s a line, the employees are super efficient and the wait times are never bad. It’s super fun watching them make the ice cream. “I stumbled upon Dianda's by chance, and what a delightful surprise it was! From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the display of irresistible treats.

After some delicious deliberation and friendly service from the clerk (while the bakers worked away in the back), I decided to try the Banana Cream cake, and it was everything I could have hoped for.

The cake was wonderfully light, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet—just the right amount of indulgence. I’ll definitely be back!“

“You definitely need to know what order here:
Egg tarts and BBQ pork buns are made fresh in the morning and honestly quite the hidden gem here. I'm an egg tart connoisseur, and for a hole in the wall in the Mission, it actually is one of the better egg tarts in SF, in fact, the peninsula. (Try to buy them earlier in the day though).

Many of the other items are a gamble though; many of the cakes don't seem fresh. It's probably best to ask the employees when each thing was baked.“
