“The greatest donut shop of all time!!! I have been coming here for over 20 years. Everything is so good you can’t go wrong, but my personal favorites are the blueberry scones and maple twist donuts. The owners are so kind, and I have never had a donut better than the ones here. I have had friends from all over the world try these donuts, and everyone always loses their mind about how good they are!“

“Travelled from Nova Scotia, Canada recently for an event. Love hunting down good coffee and good vibes. Rented a car for the day and stumbled on Awkward Coffee. Based on the name alone I knew we had to go. Very friendly staff, great selection of specialty drinks and sweet treats. Got to sample their new strawberry cold foam while we were waiting as well 🫣 I would make the trip from Nova Scotia again just to go back and visit this shop. “I searched for a different coffee place around and Grace coffee came up. I wasn't even sure it was open to the public, being it's at the church, but it is. I must say that it's amazing coffee. They use local and organic ingredients. The baked goods are done on site and delicious. I had a peanutbutter and white chocolate scone with my vanilla oat milk latte. Mandy, the barista was a gem. She is so sweet and genuinely friendly. So if you're up in this area make a stop up the hill for their coffee. Limited hours but worth the effort.“

Most shudder at the idea, but this coffee is rich and absolutely delicious--- and the strength, which is a relative term, only increases the enjoyment. Starbuck's, for example, is strong, as well, but it can be bitter and harsh. Not so wide WE beans! Quite the opposite. It's a grand place to sit and relax, and the atmosphere is cordial and inviting. It is now our favorite "coffee haunt."“

“This is the go to coffee shop with my wife every weekend. We are coffee people and always love a different twist on drinks, so having something like a cookie butter or banana cream is right up our alley. It’s not too sweet, flavorful, yet maintains that espresso taste. The only thing is I’d probably like a little less ice. Still amazing overall.

“First visit, loved the food, nice greeting from the manager, big menu, lots of free parking, clean restaurant & bathrooms. There is a line for tables because the food is so good. The dessert display looks amazing. Overall 5 stars will definitely come back and recommend to friends. My only issue, and it’s very minor, is the salt & pepper granules are too big to come out of the tiny holes in the S&P shakers, I did have to unscrew the lids. But I took every bite home as leftovers because it was so yummy.“

“I am filing a complaint about a serious food handling and labeling issue. I ordered the Spicy Falafel Pocket because it is labeled vegan, but a staff member put chicken in it instead. I became sick to my stomach and threw up. This kind of mistake is unacceptable because customers depend on accurate food labeling for health, dietary, religious, and ethical reasons. Please investigate this incident, address it with the store, and improve staff training to prevent this from happening again.“

“24 Hours of the best doughnuts you will ever try. All cooked fresh in house with many years of experience. This location is truly a locals spot and the people stopping in have been for a really long time. They also have an entire menu sandwiches, boba drinks, Thai Tea, Smoothies, chips and even lottery tickets. This is absolutely THE spot in Sylmar for fresh sweet doughnuts and raw unpredictable culture. I personally recommend the buttermilk glazed doughnut and the cinnamon crumbs.“

“I came here twice for my trip. Every time. They’ve made fabulous coffee. Great service, super sweet, clean location.
Only issue was yesterday. When I was here. There was a homeless guy that was scaring the kids, and he was asked him to move away from the windows twice.
