“We contacted Elizabeth at Country Catering for a very last minute catering order to be arranged across the country (as in the day before, after 1pm PST). She was responsive and so easy to work with! We weren’t sure what foods would be best given covid restrictions and we weren’t sure what was possible so we made several changes after the initial proposal. Elizabeth was flexible and kind, and quickly made great suggestions and fast adjustments to the menu. Payment was secure and she followed up after delivery to confirm the goods had been delivered. I hope anyone calls them Who is considering a catering order in Stockton! Such a fantastic business to work with.“

“I'm a native New Yorker and De Parsia's is authentic NYC tasting pizza, believe me or try it for yourself. If you're looking for great food, prices that are right and the atmosphere of home, De Parsia's is the place, the owner is so pleasant (I wanted to call him PawPaw).“

“There’s something strange about the corner in Stockton. Not eerie—no. But... magnetic. Like some hidden force tugging at your hunger, whispering ancient cravings from beneath the cracked sidewalks and flickering streetlights. That force? It's De Vinci’s Delicatessen. And it doesn’t just feed you—it possesses you.
I stepped through their modest entrance on a sunlit afternoon, the door chime echoing like a bell in a forgotten church. The scent hit me first—fresh bread, warm herbs, garlic, and that ever-so-faint, seductive promise of slow-roasted miracles. My order was simple, or so I thought: the legendary Tri-Tip sandwich on their homemade focaccia bread.
Now let me tell you—this wasn’t bread. It was a relic. Thick but soft, crispy edges brushed with oil, speckled with rosemary like some ancient script written by a hungry demigod. The Tri-Tip was piled on like a sacrificial offering—tender, perfectly charred on the edges, the smoky flavor locked in like a spell.
And the minestrone? My God. It didn’t come in a bowl—it arrived in a portal. Each spoonful took me somewhere else. Cannellini beans like smooth river stones. Zucchini, tomato, onion—each vegetable so fresh it felt like it had been plucked from a cursed garden moments before hitting the pot. The broth was deep and comforting, like the embrace of something old and kind... and maybe just a little haunted.
There was, of course, her. The woman on the phone. Loud, obnoxious, the kind of person who thinks everyone’s life needs to hear about her overdue dental work and gym drama. Her voice cut through the room like a rusty saw through Sunday peace. But even she couldn’t ruin the atmosphere. No demon could.
Because once you take a bite at De Vinci’s, you belong to it. And it belongs to you. Forever.
Five stars. But be warned: the craving never leaves.“

“Visiting Stockton stopped at MI Ranchito Cafe for breakfast, ordered the Spicy Nopales Rancheros/eggs with Chicharrones, great taste, good portion, excellent choice, if in Stockton worth a visit the Cafe has a history going back to the 1950s.“
